An amazing excursion with great guides! - What a great excursion! Our guide for Chichen Itza was Aldo and our guide for Tulum was Claudia. Both were knowledgeable, engaging and courteous. Each was a wealth of information. I would highly recommend Kay Tours and Claudia and Aldo.

Excellent Private Tour - We had an amazing experience with this private Chichen Itza tour with Kay Tours. Adrian and Guillermo were punctual with the hotel pickup and very courteous. Adrian is very knowledgeable and kept us engaged throughout the day. Guillermo was also very courteous and his driving skills kept us safe on the roads. They always made sure we were well taken care of with drinks, snacks and breaks; they were very patient and ensured that we were able to do what we wanted to do. We got to Chichen Itza early enough so we got pictures while there were not too many people around and we were leaving just as it was getting crowded. The swim at cenote Samaal was refreshing and the buffet lunch near the cenote was good. Our last stop was at the park in Vallodolid where we walked through the nearby markets. In total the tour was 12 hours from beginning to end. We really enjoyed this tour and we would highly recommended it!

Highly Enjoyable Private Tour Day Trip to Chichen Itza from Cancun - My wife and I took this private tour to Chichen Itza, with lunch and a swim at a cenote and tour through Valladolid, in mid-August 2025. Though on the pricey side, we thought it was well worth it. Because it was a private tour, the tour operator, Kay Tours, was willing to tailor the day to our preferred schedule, beginning with the hotel pickup time. Unlike many group tours that wanted to pick us up at our hotel in the Cancun hotel zone at 5:00am or 5:30am, Kay Tours recommended 6:30am but was fine with our desired 7:00am. Kay Tours was responsive and kept in communication with us through Viator, email, and WhatsApp. Our driver/guide, James, was great. He showed up at the hotel a few minutes early and gave use the rundown on the day's itinerary. James was friendly, courteous, and very informative about the present day culture around the Yucatan as well as historical Mayan culture. He showed us many easy-to-miss artistic and historical details in the Chichen Itza ruins. Because this was a private tour, James was very flexible about schedule. We spend more time than usual in Chichen Itza because we found that very interesting and opted for just an air-conditioned drive-through tour of Valladolid in mid-afternoon because we already spent a lot of time walking around under the hot sun. Lunch at the cenote was great. It was an open buffet with many tasty selections, and James explained the local offerings, including the Yucatan specialty known as lime soup. A swim in the cenote was very refreshing after spending hours in the hot humid air of Chichen Itza. Again, because this was a private tour we could linger over lunch and spend as much or as little time floating around the cenote as we wanted. There are much cheaper options to tour essentially the same thing, but we thought the private tour expense was definitely worth it.

Great day! - Jolo had a lot of knowledge of the Maya and Chichen Itza. Seen and learned a lot. Very hot though, so nice that they had provided cold dribjen. Cenote was very nice and nicely refreshing for swimming.

Amazing experience! - Amazing experience from beginning to end! Being able to bypass the usual tourist traps of kitschy shops is worth it. They emailed and Whatsapp communicated so that I was ready for my trip. My driver was professional, courteous and efficient… what else can you ask for? Highly recommend doing your tour with Kay’s.

The perfect way to see Chichen Itza - This was a top notch tour from the booking to the drop off. Got a WhatsApp the day before letting us know that a change in departure time would actually be more convenient for us—very much appreciated! Heliodoro was our driver: very kind and an excellent driver, very efficient while also being cautious. Angel Rodrigo was the perfect guide for us. From start to finish he shared his knowledge of cultures and civilizations but always with a touch of humility and mystery. We shared in the awe of the Mayan civilization and laughed at the modern world. Just a really fantastic experience.

Day well spent - The trip also included a stop to swim in freshwater, so make sure you get your swimsuits ready. We also stopped at a Mexican restaurant for lunch.
