An Experience you do not want to miss! - What a great day! Alondra was our driver / tour guide the entire trip and she was fantastic! Early morning pick up from our hotel - on time and even stopped to let us grab a coffee / snacks. When we got to the site, she gave us a very informative session on the history and details of what makes it so special. Alondra then took us to a local lunch which was delicious. Lastly we ended up visiting the town of Valladolid where we toured an old church and walked the streets to experience some local flavor. Smooth drive back to our resort - I give this experience a 5/5 and Alondra was awesome!

Go private, incredible value. Take Best Maya Tours! Thanks Alondra :) - We took a full day tour, getting off to an early start - Our driver and tour-guide Alondra was right on time, arriving a few minutes early to pick us up from the resort we stayed at in the Hotel-Zone in Cancun. She was incredibly patient, kind, and courteous. At each step of the trip she went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable (does anyone have to use the restroom, is anyone hungry or thirsty) and ensured that we got the best use of our time. We lingered a bit at Chicen Itza because we were really enjoying it, and she was very knowledgable about the history and was very obviously passionate about it. We stopped on the way out in Valladolid to explore a bit and have lunch at an outdoor cafeteria which had lots of great options, and the food was delicious. Alondra took great care of us here, helping us order, and making sure that we had everything we needed at our meal. After we left Valladolid we headed for a Cenote Oxman, one of the most beautiful natural wonders I've ever seen. She rested a bit and let us take our time, it was incredibly refreshing. We stayed in the cool water until we were all ready, and then headed back to the resort. Alondra our guide was conversational, kind, and compassionate. I think going forward, we'll try to make all of our trips in Cancun through a private booking group like BestMayaTours, because of how comforting it was throughout. The value difference between a group trip and private excursion would be hard to overstate. We're super thankful to Alondra and very glad that we were lucky enough to have chose Best Maya Tours.

Best Tour and Guide EVER! JUST BOOK IT - This was way more amazing that images or words can describe. Seeing all the gliphs especially on the skull wall and in the arena was a huge surprise. I didn't realize these things were so detailed! I actually cried a little when we saw this. Just breathtaking. Our tour guide, Salvador, is so knowledgeable...not just about these artifacts but about the wildlife and so many different things. I am SO GLAD we did this tour. We chose to go private tour because we didn't want to waste time picking othwr people up. Turns out, you probably learn a lot more when it is private as well because you can just truly dive in and immerse yourself in the whole experience. You really feel close to the sun here, you literally feel like bacon sitting in a pan...but the scent isn't nearly as delicious. Salvador, our amazing guide, navigated us through buying the stupidest souvenir that I demanded on getting. The cenote was AMAZING. Such cool clear water and the little rope to fling into the water was SO MUCH FUN! I am TERRIFIED of heights into water, but Salvadore was the perfect calming effect and I managed to fling my pathetic wimpy self into the magnificent water. And then I went again! Haha! Tasted the local dishes, the black meat is some sort of minced meat and black sauce, IDK what it was but it was all really good. The empenadas were my fav. The green drinks you see are chaya (mayan spinach) mixed with pineapple and orange juices. Quite possibly the best tasting beverage I have ever had. On a scale of 1 being "DON'T GO HERE" and 10 being "I will never see anything this amazing on my life!" This is a 10. If you are unsure about booking this one, consider this the kick in your behind. Do it! NO RAGERTS! I will update this review when I get pics from Salvadore. These are just a few we took.

Perfectly planned tour with an exceptional guide - highly recommend - This was the 2nd best part of our visit in Mexico, second only to getting engaged! Salvador is the best travel guide. Super knowledgeable, great stories and company for a full day of beautiful history and sightseeing. The cenote visit after Chitchen is perfect. Salvador even got me to dive into the water - I'm a chicken and my legs were shaking staring down. Pictures are taken the whole day and included in the package, along with cold bottled water and all fares, taxes, tolls, etc. If you've only got the time and money for one tour in your visit, I highly recommend this one. Bring ozone-friendly sunscreen, cash for souvenirs and extra for tipping. Thanks for the amazing day, Salvador!

Great Chichen Itza Tour! - My girlfriend and I had a great private tour experience with Salvador. We were picked up directly from our resort in Playa del Carmen, headed straight for Chichen Itza and arrived early enough to beat most of the crowd. Salvador was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the ruins and his light-hearted humor kept the tour both interesting and fun. Our next stop at Cenote Oxman was also very memorable. We had the unique opportunity to dive into the cool water from a swinging rope, which was an unforgettable experience. Lunch from the locals at Valladolid was delicious as well. The whole time Salvador took pictures of the sights and of my girlfriend and me with his DSLR camera and shared them with us later. The pictures came out way better than we could've managed with our phones. Overall a great experience with Best Maya Tours and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a private tour.

Kukulkan @ Best Mayan Tours - Had the best time today. Kukulkan was top notch getting us to and from the Chichen Itza quick and easy. I couldn’t imagine do this trip with a group in a big bus. Kukulkan was extremely knowledgeable and shared insights and meanings to all the sites to see. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an alternative to a crowded bus tour.

Great experience! - My husband and I had a great time on this tour! Our tour guide, Quetzalcoatl arrived promptly at our hotel. He was very friendly and gave us a lot of historic information of the ruins on our drive there. We got to Chichen Itza early. Once there, our guide gave us more historical information of the ruins and the even took pictures of us, which we appreciated. After a while, he left us on our own to continue exploring. After the ruins, we went to have lunch and swim in a beautiful cenote. The food was tradicional and delicious. After that, we stopped at the small town of Vallalodid to explore and shop at our leisure. Lastly, we headed back to our hotel. It was a long drive, but traffic was light both ways, so it wasn’t too bad. All in all, a great experience!!

Best VIP Private Tour to Chichen Itza for your money! - I would highly recommend you booking this VIP Tour to Chichen Itza with Best Maya Tours! Our guide Quetzal was prompt when picking my husband and I up at the Westin Laguanamar Hotel in Cancun at 6:30 am. We arrived at Chichen Itza as they were opening up and before the tour buses arrived. Quetzal (Captain Snake) was both knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Chichen Itza and the Mayan culture. He even taught himself the Maya language which was evident as he conversed with workers and venders as we toured. My husband and I learned so many interesting things today. Quetzal constantly attended to our needs. Do you need a break or a drink etc. Our next stop was to Oxman Cenote where we got to swim and enjoy a delicious traditional Mayan meal. I can’t say enough about the different food my husband and I tried. Our last stop was in the colonial city of Valladolid. Again very much worth seeing! This tour was worth every peso we spent!

Perfect Experience - Wonderful experience with Salvador on this full-day tour. He was reliable, efficient, and very adaptable to our family's requests. Even on the day prior to our excursion, he made some requested changes without hesitation. We would very much recommend Best Maya Tours to anyone, and will absolutely be reaching back out to them for future travel to the area.
