Essential excursion - The tour was much better than expected. Both our guide Tonantzin and our driver Marcela were at all times watching us, to explain everything in detail and to make our trip very enjoyable. They answered all the curiosities of my 10-year-old son, which were many, and made very good recommendations for souvenirs and meals. Chichen left us speechless and Ek Balam was a great surprise, beautiful. An essential excursion if you want to know the Mayan culture. And if you get the same guide and driver as us, success assured!

Very good excursion Chichen Itza - We have enjoyed a very complete tour. The day began very early at the hotel, at about 6:30. The goal is to reach Chichen soon. The trip is long, more than two hours from Riviera Maya, but it is worth it and did not get heavy. Behind the wheel Marcella and in the explanations Tonantzin was at all times actively explaining us, not only the archaeological sites, but also curiosities of the Mayan environment.
The goal of the early morning is to arrive early, the number of people there when we finished the visit was incredible, too overwhelmed, so the idea of starting very soon compensates. Also although it was hot, it was not as overwhelming as when we were finishing. A recommendation, if you want souvenirs from your vacation, this is the best place, countless stalls within the compound of Chichen Itza.
Then we went to Ek Balam. Smaller ruins, but with its charm, much less crowded and with quite a lot of shade. Although you arrive quite tired of Chichen gets along, lasts an hour.
And finally stop at the nearby Hubiku Cenote. It is probably not the most spectacular, but again it is not crowded and in fact there is mostly local population. It is appreciated to leave a bit of the most tourist circuit. Cenote at the end of the excursion is almost a necessity after the calorie, and that is not in the hottest months. There in the restaurant a pretty good buffet and then back another two hours.
In the end almost 12 hours of excursion, but very taken advantage of. Good organization and great guides. Recommended.
It has not been the only excursion with "Excursions Riviera Maya" and all very well.

An unmissable experience in Mexico - This excursion was absolutely awesome. We wanted something that would cover two Mayan ruins in a single trip instead of going to Valladolid, and this excursion was able to pick us up from our hotel and give us a tour in a very small group.
It was just myself, my partner and a family of three!
Our guide, Tonantzin, was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly (in English in our case). She also used a big tablet with pictures to help us understand. She had a picture of anything you could ever ask about and she could answer any questions we had.
The two Mayan sites and the cenote were absolutely stunning and a bucket list item for us.
The trip is certainly long (it took us about 13 hours from/to our hotel), but it was totally worth every minute of it and we would most highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommended tour while staying in Tulum - My friends and I had a fantastic tour with Antonio as our guide!! We learned so much about Mayan culture as we walked around the architectural wonders at Chichen Itza and Ek Balam. The cenote was incredible. He also took great photos of our group!! And Marcella, our driver, was great, too!!

Incredible tour - The ride is amazing! The staff is very helpful, bringing lots of information about the ruins of Chichen Itza and Ek Balam. Everyone was very kind, friendly and had a lot of knowledge about the locations. There was water available all the way and the bathing break at the Cenote included a good variety lunch.

Great cultural and nature excursion - It was an excellent excursion! We have a 8 people small group in a minivan. The tour guide Tonantzin and Antonio are very friendly and professional explained many cultural concepts and the migration of Mayan from jungle to the seashore, the relationships between 20 some kingdoms in the small Mayan area... Highly recommended... The cenote Hubiku is great. Bring goggles and wet shoes when you swim in it. There are fishes in the abyss! Shower is ground level and you have to walk on gravels to desend tks the cenote, water shoes would help your foot.

Three great places not to be missed - The driver and guide were professional friendly and helpful. There was only four people on this trip which worked out lucky for us!
The first stop was a Chichen itzá. The pyramid is magnificent a fantastic site. It was an early pickup at 6.40am which was worth it as we arrived at Chichen itzá ahead of the crowd. The guide gave a good overview of Chichen itzá and mayan culture. The next stop was ek- Balam. This was a great stop as unlike Chichen itzá you and climb to the top of the pyramid and get great views over the jungle. We then drove on to the cenote were we had lunch. The food was mediocre with a biscuit offered for desert. We then got changed and went to the cenote that was on the same site. We had already been to Teo cenotes on previous trips but what I liked about this cenote that the other cenotes did have - was the fish that nibble on dead skin. It was so therapeutic feeling the tickle of there mouths on your feet and legs.
Overall a great trip!

Small group, the way to do it! - Great day! Hands down a small group is the way to go. Gus was basically a private tour guide cause there was only 1 other English speaking person in the tour. (There were only 4 people totally on this trip). I was hesitant about the early pickup, but getting there early was the way go, chichen itza was packed with huge groups as we left. The visit to ek balam was incredible too, climbing the ruins was such a great surprise and the views were breathtaking. The visit to Hubiku was incredible too, the cenote was huge…and a refreshing way to end the journey. Highly recommend.

Fantastic day you won't regret - Fantastic tour to chichen itza, Ek balam and a cenote. Very packed day with early departure but turned out to be great to avoid the crowd and the heat in Chichen itza. We were also able to climb up the temple in Ek balam to see the ruins sticking out from the tree tops.
Our guide Tonantzin is very warm and knowledgeable. She gave very detailed explanations and answered all our questions.
Our driver German was also friendly and patient during the whole trip.
Overall we had a great experience and felt our day was very well spent
