Amazing vacation - We enjoyed working with Eric at NexusTour to organize our Excursions. Love the amazing tour guides on our bus, Mario, Ricardo,Danielle. These are the best, we feel safe and comfortable being in their company. They did an amazing job. The bus driver Balam did a great getting us safe to and from. I recommend this company for any excursions.

READ BEFORE YOU GO!!!! - This trip is 100% worth it. But its a long day, bring protein! A phone charger (going in and out of service drained the phones) and maybe a book if you're not a car nap person. It was a 13 hour day but it didnt fell like it our side of hunger lol. The cenotes were stunning, lunch was delicious and Chichen Itza was magnificent and the tour guide was very help. Just wish we were better prepared for the long awesome day

Cenotes and Chichen Itza - Chichén Itzá was fantastic as were the cenotas.
We were not aware just how much time is spent on a bus with this trip. It is a huge day you leave your hotel at 7am and do not get back until 10pm
The tequila tasting is nothing more than a tourist trap to try make you buy over priced tequila.
The tour guides are very knowledgeable and taught us much about each place we visited.
The seats in the bus are very small and when the person in front reclines the back of the seat it literally right in your face and if you are tall as I am you spend a very long day with your knees jammed into the seat and it gets very painful.
All in all you manage to see a lot but is it worth the pain and long bus trip?
I will leave that up to you to decide

Spectacular senotes but very rushed - Spectacular senotes, I gave 4 stars because the tour takes more time picking up passengers then time actually spent at the senotes . Too much time spent picking up other tour passengers but the actual senotes experience it’s worth 5 plus stars

A must - Great tour guides! They were great! It was super hot and would provide us with water at every stop! The tour was a whole day and we didn’t have much time at the cenotes but not sure if I’d like to stay for more than an hour at a cenote. Amazing experience

Chichen Itza, July 2025 - Extremely long day. The bus was comfortable and there was a restroom on board for emergencies. The breakfast provided was a ham and cheese sandwich and white bread a juice box an apple, and a protein bar.
We were picked up at our hotel on time by a van shuttle that drove us about 45 minutes or so to another location. We waited outside of a minimart that did not have a restroom for approximately 45 more minutes until the bus arrived the swim in the Centote was absolutely amazing. It was beautiful you shower changing in the locker room, but there is absolutely nothing allowed around the exterior of the cenote. So you have to leave all of your belongings in the locker unless you have a waterproof phone case or you just plan on taking photos without getting into the water. We did jump into the water from a ledge and it was incredible. The stop before the first Cenote, was a town called Vallaloid. In my opinion, the stop was unnecessary. The town was just OK with nothing much to see. They charged a dollar to use the restroom and we waited there about an hour. The tour could have been more efficient if we skipped this stop. After this stop and the first Cenote, we made it to Chichén Itzá. It was incredible. It was also extremely hot, so be prepared by bringing sunscreen and a large hat. after Chchen Itza we headed to the second Cenote. In my opinion, this was unnecessary, although it was nice. It was nothing like the first Cenote The road we took to get there was incredibly bumpy and took about 45 minutes just to get there. At that time we arrived at a restaurant, we ate a decent meal which was included, and then we had the option to go into the Cenote or just wait underneath the dining room. The thought of getting wet again seemed like it would be a little uncomfortable so we decided to stay in the restaurant. It took us another 30 to 45 minutes to get out of that location and back on the road. We then headed back towards our hotel which took a couple of hours. So all in all, yes it was a 15 hour day that really could’ve been done in 12 hours or less.

Amazing but… - I really, really wanted to love this tour and give it five stars. Our main tour guide was absolutely wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and smoothly translated between English and Spanish. He actually spoke 5 different languages! The bus was clean and comfortable, and all logistics were handled effortlessly. At each stop, check-ins and tickets were taken care of for us, making it hassle free.
The cenotes were absolutely incredible. Hubiku was the standout with its delicious buffet, beautiful village, immersive cultural experience, and had great amenities. Ik Kil was also stunning and definitely worth visiting! We had about one hour at each cenote and two hours at Chichén Itzá. It all felt a little rushed. I ended up not even being able to see all of Chichén Itzá or buy souvenirs.
The guides at every location were well-spoken and very helpful, ensuring we got great photos and understood or learned about each location.
That said, the day was far too long. 16 hours. We were picked up at 6 AM and didn’t return to our hotel until nearly 10 PM—most of that time spent picking up and dropping off guests from Cancún to Playa del Carmen and everywhere in between. If they streamlined pickups, it would be a dream tour!!! Highly recommend bringing snacks and extra water, it’s a very long day and there isnt much time at each spot to grab anything. Around 9 AM, we were given a ham and cheese sandwich, juice box, and rice crispy treat but the buffet lunch wasn’t until about 4 PM.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR TALL, ENGLISH SPEAKING TOURISTS - Book at your own risk… had multiple glaring issues:
1. “ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE” … this was a “locals tourists only” tour!!!!
We were the only non English speaking guests and the guide knew about it and still spoke to the whole van in native language.. He even talked about Chichen Itza on the way there and we did not understand a single explanation.. He even stated “I’ll just tell you in English later because it’s difficult.” WWWHHAAATT!!!
2. TIGHT SPACE.. I’m 5’5 and my knees were pushed against the back of the seat in front of me the whole tour..which was uncomfortable. IMO, more seats were added to this van to haul more tourists.
3. Multiple stops to pick up more local tourists the longest was over 1 hour.. no explanation..BUT WAIT .. maybe they did say something.. we just didn’t understand it!!
What did we enjoy about this trip - SANTIAGO!! He was the ENGLISH speaking guide at Chichen Itza who was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Mayans, relevance of the different structures and much more!!
The 2 Cenotes - Ik Kil & Hubiku were also a very cool experience

No good - I wouldn’t recommend this experience, especially for those staying in the hotel zone—unless you don’t mind spending long hours on a bus.
We were picked up at 6:00 AM, but didn’t arrive at Chichen Itza until 10:30 AM. The reason? The bus made multiple stops, first around Cancun, then all the way to Playa del Carmen to pick up more passengers from various locations before finally heading to the site.
In total, we spent nearly 10 hours on the bus for what should’ve been a 4-hour round trip, leaving us with only about 4 hours to actually enjoy the activities.
My advice: rent a car instead. You'll have a lot more flexibility and time to enjoy your day.
