Art Deco style, while evocative of a bygone era, actually represents the vision of the future from a 1920s perspective. The gleaming materials and meticulous detailing scream opulence, luxury, and sophistication. On this excursion, you’ll follow the trail of those who were intoxicated by the promise of what could be, prior to the notorious ‘29 Crash….

Beautiful and interesting tour - Colleen gave a great tour! We visited buildings that if you weren’t aware they had stunning lobbies and history you would walk right by never the wiser! The tour was filled with great and NOT boring facts.

Unique, inspiring and fun. Amazing interiors - We did the art deco lobbies tour last weekend in 9° temps. Barry, our tour guide was unfazed and gave us a really nice tour. He is quite passionate about the subject and it really showed through on the tour. The buildings themselves were stunning. I highly recommend. One more thing about Barry. After the tour we asked about a non chain, interesting place to eat. He walked with us until he found a place that was open. Way above and beyond! Very nice man. Very nice tour.

Outstanding experience! - We did a private tour with Hillary of Chicago buildings and history, including art deco masterpieces, beautiful post-modern buildings and a brief walk through the Pedway. Hillary was engaged, perfectly paces, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. A great ambassador for the city and time well spent!

Hidden interior architectural gems - Our guide, Spencer, was fun and informative and offered many great suggestions for the rest of our Chicago trip. We were sorry to hear that the tours scheduled earlier than 3pm were able to go inside of the Rookery and Cultural Center and felt that we had time to visit another building before the tour ended. We really enjoyed exploring these interior hidden architectural gems!
