Chiapas is magical, an experience I won't forget. - Unforgettable experience in the Sink Canyon! It was my first time in Chiapas (I only knew Palenque), and this tour exceeded all my expectations. I made the tour from Tuxtla to Sumidero Canyon and Chiapa de Corzo, and it was a simply unforgettable experience. Our guide Winnie was excellent: friendly, very knowledgeable and with detailed explanations that greatly enriched the tour. In addition, their playlist during the trip made the trip even more enjoyable. Although the group I agreed with was somewhat off, that didn’t detract at all from the incredibleness of the experience. The gazebo of the canyon was the most impressive thing, seeing it from the heights leaves you speechless! The boat ride was very beautiful, full of nature and wildlife: we saw crocodiles, birds and stunning vegetation. Important tip: wear sunscreen, dark glasses and a hat! The sun can be very strong. Chiapas fell in love with me, I will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended this tour!

Amazing Boat Ride - Our driver, Jonathan, was a very nice person. We were almost the last couple to be picked up, so we did not get to sit together on the van. Which was unfortunate, and everyone kept the same seats on the return trip. The ride down the mountain to get to the canyon was a bit harrowing, but luckily there were no incidents The canyon boat ride is a wonderful experience, with interesting wildlife. The breeze helped make the heat bearable; I also got my blouse wet so that the evaporation would help. One also needs a hat that will tie on, because the winds are intense in parts of the canyon. It turned out to be 97 degrees Farenheit when we landed at Chiapa de Corzo, and we ate comida there. Not a great restaurant choice; the worst meal I have ever had in Mexico and we were overcharged by about 100 pesos, not realizing it until we were up in town. I would recommend taking a sandwich or something. To find relief from the intense heat and humidity, we ducked into the pharmacy on the square and also the OXXO (like a 7 Eleven store). We lingered as long as we could in both shops, haha! Again, the boat ride through the canyon was so good that any other minor discomforts should not count.

BEWARE, THIS TOUR IS IN SPANISH EVEN IF SAYS ENGLISH OR YOU CHOSE ENGLISH - I’m sure I booked for an English tour but since I’m the only English participant among Spanish speakers participants, I’m often left out as far as the guide explanation is concerned. Many times the guide speaks in Spanish to the group but no English translation at all, I have to ask him if I felt what he said was important. When he translates into English, it’s often abbreviated or shortened which omitted information that maybe important. The boat ride was totally spoken or done in 101% Spanish. It’s frustrating and the tour company has to seriously do something about this. Our guide is great but it’s not his fault why the tour was done inappropriately.

We booked an English... - We booked an English guided tour, and instead we communicated in English only with the other travelers. Both tour guide/driver and boat captain were speaking only in Spanish. The driving was a near death experience. Not recommended at all, even though Sumidero canyon was amazing!

The driver didn't... - The driver did not have good attitude, to begin with when he went for us to the hotel he went ahead and we walked behind him. When he came for other people, his truck was going away and we yelled at him that the truck was going. For the meal he took us to a law firm that had no food, no water, no soft drinks, when we finished eating instead of telling us directly since he was next to us, he told the waiter to tell us that we could leave and that he picked us up two blocks away. This is not the first time we have gone on this tour but it is the first and last time we have taken it with this Enterprise.
