- Doi Tung Royal Villa - Continue your trip to the Royal Villa, the former home of Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother. This elegant villa is constructed from recycled pine wood and discarded teak trees.
- Wat Phrathat Doi Tong - Complete your trip farther up the mountain with a visit to the Wat Phra That Doi Tung. Built in the year 911 AD, this temple was erected from Buddha’s left collarbone and is regarded as the oldest and holiest sanctuary in the region.
- Golden Triangle - After that we will go the Golden Triangle (This is the frontier between Laos, Myanmar and Thailand and is separated by the Mekong Rivers).
- Sop Ruak - the center of the Golden Triangle - There are magnificent views over the Mae Khong River to the physical triangle made by Burma, Laos and Thailand at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong River. For a small fee (have to pay extra 300THB), you can also enjoy the boat ride to view the splendor of mighty Mae Khong River.
Then we will have a buffet lunch .
- The Thai - Burmese Border Gate - After lunch visit Mae Sai is located at the border between Thailand and Myanmar. This border town has a big market for shopping .
- Chiang Saen - At the end of this program we will visit the ancient city of Chiang Saen, a city abandoned for more than 100 years and recently revived. See the grand double city walls and antiquities from the city’s history.
Then, you’ll begin the return trip to Chiang Rai where this tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel.
