Bai Orchid and Butterfly Farm - You are picked up from your place of accommodation in Chiang Mai at around 8.30 am.
Board minivan and drive to Orchid and Butterfly farm where a lot of beautiful orchids are displayed. You will walk along rows of scented orchids that were luscious, very well kept, and organized. The flowers range from small bunches of orchids to large ones. This is a sight to behold. You will have an experience that you will be surrounded by many colorful and delightful butterflies. -
Wat Ban Den - you will visit one of Chiang Mai’s most remarkable temples, also one of the largest temple Complexes in Chiang Mai province.
While you’re seeing a large number of structures including an ordination hall, a viharn, a meditation hall, the kuti or monks living quarters, a drum hall, and especially12 chedis or pagodas of Zodiac animal sign, you will find a lot of different elements and styles with an amazing sense of detail. You can walk on the temple’s ground there are lots of sacred fig trees, or Sali Trees, of various sizes. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, the temple stands prominently on top of a small hill and can be easily seen afar. -
Chiang Dao Cave - Take in the natural landscapes as you relax on a scenic about a 40-minute drive to the Chiang Dao cave. The cave is located in a larger temple area with multiple buildings and venues which I actually enjoyed more than the cave.
Let’s start exploring a cave. This is a relatively big cave with large, spacy halls and long paths. Winding your way through caverns, you will see the Buddhist shrines, natural limestone features. So amazing!
There are a lot of stalactites and stalagmites, some of them look like seals, lotus, lions, etc. Also, there is a temple inside, so you can find many Buddha in the cave.
You will have lunch at your own expense here. -
Bua Thong Waterfalls (Nam Phu Chet Si) - On the way back to Chiang Mai, last but not least, you will have crazy fun at Sticky waterfall. It’s a waterfall and it looks like it should be slippery, so you can’t quite believe it even when you find yourself easily walking on the steep rocks.
You can climb up and down all over the waterfall. You can also have a pleasant walk with butterflies and birds along the way.

I’m confident you’ll deeply appreciate the blend of Northern Thai temple traditions and stunning natural architecture on this one-day excursion. Explore the Orchid and Butterfly farm, where the diversity of sizes and hues of Thai Orchids is a treat for flower enthusiasts. Wat Ban den, an expansive and ever-expanding temple intricate, features multiple halls and twelve zodiac animal chedis. Here, you’ll discover a diverse array of elements and styles, all detailed stunningly. The Bua thong (Sticky) waterfall is truly remarkable with its multiple tiers. The sticky moniker comes from mineral deposits that provide enough traction to prevent slipping, making the climb up the waterfall simple. Its limestone surface, though rough-looking, is not hurtful to the touch and creates an eye-catching bubbly design. This spot is a popular picnic location among Thais who often spend the day here, eating and drinking.
