A delicious evening! - This dinner show delighted us all: an outdoor stage on a human scale (breathtaking view for all), varied dances, traditional music played live and to finish a meal in a premium formula which delighted our taste buds with great variety of dishes: fish, shrimp, chicken, pork, soup and vegetables offered with both fragrant rice and sticky rice. I recommend this formula without hesitation!

Great cultural experience not to be missed - We took this tour our first night in Chiang Mai and it really set the tone for our visit. It was only my friend and I on this tours so we got very personal attention. The first stop was the market where we walked through amazing fruit and vegetable stalls. Our guide bought us a treat to sample as we made our way to the Cultural Center for the main event. The seating is on pillows on the floor so it might now be for everyone, but we totally enjoyed it. As the food arrive, or guide gave us tips on what everything was and how Thai people would eat it, then left us to enjoy the food and dancing. Both were delightful. It was especially nice to know that the dancers and musicians were all students. The portions were very generous and we were asked if we wanted refills of anything. It was a great evening supporting the Cultural center, the students, and enjoying great food and dance.

Northern Thai dance and food - We were picked up at the hotel by van. There are several places in Chiang Mai where you can see the Khantoke dinner show, but on this tour we went to an outdoor restaurant called Khun Khantoke. It's about 30 minutes by car from the old town. For dinner, several dishes were lined up on a round table, and we ate them with sticky rice. It felt a little small for three adults. There were tables where they offered refills and tables where they didn't, but I don't know the difference. There was no explanation in Japanese for the dinner show, so I only vaguely understood the historical background. Young people were dancing. To be honest, the dancing was relaxed and leisurely until halfway through, but it became lively at the end and everyone danced together for the finale. If you can stay in Chiang Mai for two nights, it might be worth coming, but if you don't have time, I thought the night market would be more interesting.

Nice dance acts, enough... - Nice dance acts, enough variety - length balacne to enjoy the fullest. The meal was excellent and food was replenished more than we could eat. Unfortunately we still have no clue what the differenc is in the tour options of standard, premium or special dinner. Would be good to understand the difference

Chiang Mai tradition - The food and the performances were good. I didn’t understand why they would charge us for drinks when they said it was complimentary with the dinner?( I was confused... maybe it was the language barrier). One would think that drinks (soft drinks ) would be included with the meal purchased for the show.

Pick up miss! I was left waiting (lol) - I waited for the pick-up at the hotel, but it didn't come even after an hour. I asked the hotel to check and they said that the agent had forgotten to pick me up. I rushed to the hotel by taxi, but the show ended in about 10 minutes and the meal was over. It was a disappointing result for my first Chiang Mai dance. The atmosphere of the venue was good.
