What a fantastic way to meet the Hill Tribe Prople - Today we visited some amazing people of Thailand. The Hill Tribes in Chiang Mai, they were so lovely and welcoming and wanted to share their stories and lives with us, it was a truly an enlightening experience. Our guide, Amy was fabulous and knew a lot about the people we visited. To finish off we went to the Chiang Dao Cave, the temple and history of the cave was incredible. I recommend this as a must do if visiting Chiang Mai.

Beautiful and informative day trip - We were very pleased with this tour and with our tour guide Nancy, also the driver was very sympathetic. She told us an incredible amount during this trip with a super understandable English. For lunch we went to a local restaurant which was very delicious and also cheap.

Education visit to tribes and cave exploration! - Today we had a lovely tour led by Jane to the 5 villages outside of Chiang Mai. We enjoyed seeing a different way of culture and learning about the history of Thailand. I also enjoyed the caves when we had a fun adventure looking at different rock shapes. This is a great tour for people who want to have a better understanding of Thailands history.

Very nice and entertaining day with good variaity.
From tigers to tasty local meal and dance with the bats in their natural habitat.

A fascinating insight into a simpler way of life - A fascinating insight into the lives of the the hill tribe people.
Great service , picked up and driven in an air conditioned vehicle.
The guide Saman was on time and very professional with a wealth of knowledge.
You can see the way these subsistence farmers live and work, in low season focusing on their crops and in high season making crafts in a long tradition.
The people we saw were so kind, handing over their produce with a smile.
You can purchase home made items.
The caves are stunning and again supports local people who act as tour guides.
Health and safety is not as draconian as in Europe so you will have an options to slip slid over bumps and clamber through some interesting points to explore the caves led by a tiny person in flip flops carrying a kerosene lamp that is about half their body weight.
If you like bats you will love the caves.
There is an alternative route if you don’t want to be shown up by an elder in flip flops as they nips through crevices.
There are dogs everywhere, very sleepy and friendly - i would have taken treats for them.

Exploring Caves and Communities with a Great Guide and Driver - I had such a wonderful trip recently, made even more special thanks to Nancy and Tom. Nancy was an exceptional guide: warm, informative, always on time, and incredibly attentive to everyone’s needs. She shared so much insight throughout the journey, especially during our visit to the caves. Her knowledge and passion really brought each place to life.
Tom, our driver, made the trip smooth and relaxing. He was friendly, easygoing, and made sure we were always comfortable during the drive. His friendly presence and steady driving made even the long stretches enjoyable.
One of the most memorable parts of the trip was visiting the local communities. Nancy ensured our visits were respectful and meaningful, not just quick stops, but real moments of connection and learning. It felt authentic and deeply enriching.
Thanks to Nancy and Tom, the whole experience felt well-organized yet personal. I’m so grateful for their care and professionalism. I’d happily travel with them again anytime.

Do not miss out on this trip! Highly recommended, I would do it again. - Jane was a fantastic guide 10/10. I would highly recommend going on this tour and learning about the hill tribe villages. Bonus is you get to visit a huge cave! Don’t miss out on this when visiting Chiang Mai, this is a must do.
Tam was a great driver. Pick ups were prompt and got us around safely.

Great day tour. - Wonderful tour with Jane and Tam! She had plenty of knowledge and great English. She was super kind and answered our questions. Taught us a lot about the people, culture, and local plants/fruits. Took us to a great place to eat for lunch and helped us order. Food was great. Jane made sure we were very safe in the caves. Tam was an excellent driver and also very kind. Had a great day out.

Amazing tour, must book! - Please go on this fabulous tour! Nancy was with us the entire time. We made a mistake on our part in terms of hotel pickup location and she was very fast to reach out and find us. Our driver Thaem was incredibly prompt and professional. Nancy had wonderful facts about Chiang Mai, the gardens, villages, and cave. She was glad to answer any questions. The butterfly farm/orchid farm was a gorgeous sanctuary- and you could really take your time. The villages felt like a true learning experience, about life, architecture, agriculture, history and culture. Nancy took us to a great spot for lunch that was delicious! Lastly, the cave was so meditative and beautiful, we saw different wildlife, shapes in the natural stone, and religious sites. Nancy was there every step of the way, helping, guiding and making us laugh. It felt more grounded and we took our time. We would do this tour a million times and will recommend it to everyone at home!

Had a great day out. - Tam (driver) got me to all the destinations professionally and safely. Jane (guide) was kind professional and knowledgeable. She showed me all of the edible fruits and plants in the village and told me the history of the villages and the caves.
