As above. - Our guide only had two people in his party, but he did his job very well and kept the interest through-out. He spoke a lot about Mediaeval warfare and had detailed information about the weapons and showed us replica arrowheads, which were used for different purposes. When I returned to my hotel, a friend who does archery, told me that the crescent-shaped arrowhead was used to maim horses so that the knights would fall and could be killed. Perhaps you could pass this information on to the guide?

Magnificent medieval tour with Richard - A spur of the moment decision whilst visiting Chester in January. We booked at the visitor information centre, the lady there told us the guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about his history and she was not wrong! It was a very cold mid January day, but the cold soon went out of our minds as we were engrossed learning about Henry Hotspur. Our guide was fully kitted out as a Cheshire archer, something that got him a few comments as we went round ;-) He had some interesting items to show, brought out the history of Chester and it was throughly enjoyable. We were given a choice of locations to end the tour, which was a nice touch. Even if you are only vaguely interested in history I think you would get something out of this tour -the guide was very personable.

Very interesting and enjoyable - Very interesting experience. Richard was very knowledgeable about medieval times and the wars that the Chester Longbow men fought. Full of facts and pointed out several local areas explaining what happened there in medieval times. Injected humour in to the story telling. Enjoyed it very much.

Medieval tour - Excellent tour, with an interesting and informative walk through medieval Chester through the story of Hotspur's rebellion Richard clearly is very knowledgeable tourguide and his tailoring the guide to end at a firelit medieval pub was a fitting relief from a frosty January day.
