A great little museum - We loved this museum! Really interesting and informative. Good quality interactive displays. There was a lot of reading - well worth taking the time to read it all, but maybe not so good for young children. Also quite gory in places. But as adult visitors we loved all of it.

Fascinating, educational, interactive and humorous kaleidoscope of medicine - Great fun in this informative and interactive exhibition that doesn’t shy away from gruesome details to explain and educate about the development of medicine through the ages. Peppered with humour throughout, it offers fascinating detailed insights and practical examples. Well worth an hour of your time, but theres a lot to read in that hour!

Quirky Creepy and Very Informative! - Sick to Death in Chester is hands down one of the most unique and entertaining attractions I’ve visited. Set in a fittingly gothic, historic building right on the city walls, the atmosphere is perfect before you even step inside. Think medieval spookiness meets medical mayhem with a healthy dose of humour thrown in! The experience is fully immersive, walking you through the gruesome and fascinating history of medicine, from plague doctors to Victorian surgery, all presented with a creative twist. It’s both educational and darkly hilarious definitely not your average museum. The staff are fantastic too: super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about making the visit memorable. Whether you’re a history fan, a lover of the weird and wonderful, or just looking for something totally different to do in Chester, Sick to Death is a must. It’s quirky, clever, and just the right amount of creepy. Highly recommend!

Excellent informative and interactive experience, worth every penny - We were recommended this by a few people around the city, and we’re glad we went. The whole place is very interactive and informative, and not afraid to shy away from some of the weird and wonderful. Maybe those of an OCD or squeamish nature should think twice, however my other half is both and still enjoyed himself, even if it was me having to do all the interacting. The place is only small, and we got around one hour out of it, reading and poking everything we could find, however when you consider the price of admission, you’re very much getting your monies worth.

fantastic - Brilliant day out today at Sick to Death. The staff member who sold us the ticket and chatted in the shop after was brilliant, really kind and funny and willing to chat away with us about all sorts of things, checking that we enjoyed ourselves. The museum itself is absolutely brilliant, load of information that you can find in many different ways, and lots of hands on activities to enjoy absolutely brilliant way to spend an afternoon

Fairly decent. - It’s decent, but if you know anything about medicine or history or medical practices, there’s probably not much you won’t already know. The first few rooms are so deal we had to use a torch to see our way around, but it’s fun.

A matter of taste - Although some elements of the ‘museum’ will appeal to children, for adults it might not be a good way to spend time in Chester. The lighting, in parts, makes it difficult to read the information displayed and many of the exhibits are a bit grubby and not in great condition.
