Arrival in Chennai

Chennai (Madras) - Upon arrival, clients are picked up from Chennai Airport and transferred to their hotel for an overnight stay.

Chennai – Kalahasti – Tirupati (160 Kms / 4 Hrs)

Tirupati - Depart by road for Tirupati. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for an overnight stay. Later, visit Sri Venkateswara Temple, one of the most visited and wealthiest temples in the world.

Tirupati – Vellore (125 Kms / 2 ½ Hrs)

Tirupati - If desired, visit Sri Venkateswara Temple again, renowned as one of the most visited and wealthiest temples globally.

Vellore - In the afternoon, drive to Vellore through the picturesque countryside. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Vellore – Thanjavur (286 Kms / 6 Hrs)

Sripuram Golden Temple - In the morning, visit the Sripuram Golden Temple in Vellore, dedicated to Goddess Narayani Amma. Located in Sripuram town, the temple is adorned with golden protection and silver art forms, using over 1500 kg of gold.

Thanjavur - In the afternoon, drive to Thanjavur, the capital of the great Chola king Rajarajan I, who commissioned the magnificent Brihadishvara Temple in the early 11th century CE. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Thanjavur – Kumbakonam (45 Kms / 1 Hr)

Kumbakonam - In the morning, enjoy a city tour of Thanjavur, known as the “Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu,” famous for the Brahadeeswarar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Constructed over a thousand years ago by King Rajarajan Cholan, it is an architectural marvel. Thanjavur was the royal city of the Cholas, Nayaks, and Marathas. Also, visit Thannjai Mamani Koil, a set of three Vishnu temples known as a Divyadesam, and Bangaru Kamakshi Amman Temple, named for the gold idol of Goddess Kamakshi.

In the afternoon, drive to Kumbakonam. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Kumbakonam – Mahabalipuram (240 Kms / 5 Hrs)

Kumbakonam - Visit Swaminatha Swamimalai Temple, a significant temple for Lord Murugan, located on the outskirts of Kumbakonam, along with other temples such as Nageswara Temple, Patteeswaram Temple, Sarangapani Temple, and Adi Kumbeswarar Temple.

Mahabalipuram - In the afternoon, drive to Mahabalipuram, a beautiful location on the Coromandel Coast facing the Bay of Bengal, known for its Shore Temple and Arjuna’s Penance, which are prideful landmarks of both Mahabalipuram and Tamil Nadu. En route to Kanchipuram, if time permits, visit the Nataraja Temple in Chidambaram, dedicated to Lord Nataraja, a form of Lord Shiva as the lord of dance.

Mahabalipuram - Chennai

Chennai (Madras) - After breakfast, drive to Chennai. Upon arrival, visit major temples in Chennai, including Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Parthasarathy Temple, Ashtalakshmi Temple, and others. Later at night, transfer to Chennai Airport for the flight home or onward journey.
