Chefchaouen Cemetery - Quiet and small, the Chefchaouen Cemetery reflects the remnants of a once vibrant culture. Visitors may notice many tombs with Arabic inscriptions.
Kasbah Museum - The kasbah is a well-restored walled fortress featuring a beautiful garden, a small ethnographic museum, and a tiny art gallery. The museum offers intriguing views of old Chefchaouen, including the plaza and the kasbah, while the gallery showcases local artists’ work. The views from the kasbah tower over the medina are delightful.
Grand Mosque - Built in the 15th century by Moulay Mohamed Ben Ali Ben Rachid, the son of the city’s founder, Chefchaouen’s Grand Mosque features a unique octagonal minaret, influenced by Andalusian styles brought by Muslims from Spain. Constructed from stone, its brown and beige hues contrast with the nearby blue and white buildings. Admiring the mosque is a top activity in the city, though non-Muslim visitors are not allowed inside.
Ras El Maa Waterfall - This will be the starting point of our trek.

Azilane - Upon reaching this small village in the heart of Talassemtane National Park, we will spend the night at Afeska rural house.

God’s Bridge Canyon | ⵄⴰⵏⴷⴰⵔⵜ ⵏ ⵔⵓⴱⴱⵉ - Enjoy various geological formations on your way to the bridge, along with the picturesque countryside perfect for photos. Arrive at God’s Bridge during the day and stay for the sunset, when the red rock formation is at its most stunning.
Akchour - Arrive at the village of Akchour, where you can enjoy lunch or a mint tea by the river.
Route d’Akchour - We will take this route to return to Chefchaouen City.

Say goodbye to the ‘Blue City’ and set off for the hills: engage with the breathtaking vistas of nature in Morocco during this two-day hike from Chefchaouen to Akchour.
Day 1:
Commencement of the hike, with today’s path taking us from Chefchaouen to Azilane (7 hours), via the high basin of Tissouka. Encountering cedars, junipers, and the indigenous if trees along the way. Enjoy panoramic views of Bouhachem’s natural reserve and the neighboring hamlets. Rest and regain energy during a picnic break at the 3-hour mark of our journey. Post-rest, our descent to the hamlet of Afeska leads us toward our night’s stay at a rural Gite in Azilane, where a herbal tea welcome awaits us. Overnight stay in the countryside abode.
Day 2: Azilane - God’s bridge - Chefchaouen
Our journey resumes along a trail lining the base of Jbel Abdoun, through a majestic forest of cedar and pine trees with awe-inspiring geological structures and lush beauty. Keep an eye out for the occasional monkey inhabitants of this territory.
A taxi will provide transport back to Chaouen.
