Fun day - Michelle our tour guide was excellent. From all the history she shared, to her experience safely navigating the streets, and to her personality which made the experience and great one. We started the day meeting at the fort. You do not tour inside just stand outside and learn about the history. I do not feel there was too much walking. She did a great job finding all the shady spots to stop and provide the history of that site. We sampled 5 different local places. These are small plates. The first was a chicken curry, second stop was for local cold tea and a fish plate, 3 was salmon ball and alcoholic drink, 4 th was a local bar where we made our own pain killers. For me this was the most fun. Michelle kept the rum flowing. Our last stop was a beautiful local restaurant where the owner has unique paintings on the wall for purchase. We were provided a Banana flambé. This experience does take several hours. We did have to pay to park $10 and also bring cash to tip Michelle. We do walk by several shops, but due to the schedule of sampling food you will have to shop after the tour. This was good with us since we needed time to walk off the rum! Good news, drinking age is 18 so our daughters were able to participate in the entire experience. We would definitely recommend this excursion.

Highly recommended! - One of the best tours we’ve ever taken. Food and drink was really good and helped us get a feel for local flavors and, more importantly, the history, culture and architecture overview provided during the tour was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Awesome experience - Deandre was an excellent tour guide. He educated us on a lot of historical facts including the real reason why they drive on the left side of the road. 😊

Better Late Than Never - Better late than never. My husband and I took this tour while on our anniversary vacation in July 2023. Danae (and her colleague) were wonderful from beginning to end! I reached out to company prior to the tour to request gluten free food options. No disappointment there. The food selections were great and the restaurants on the tour in conjunction with Danae were extremly accomodating. There was only one spot that I could not eat the featured dish but still thoroughly enjoyed the chef at work. In addition to great company (group of strangers from different walks of life taking the tour), we got a brief history of St. Thomas, tried different dishes, had the pleasure of a mini mixology lesson, were exposed to local artists (bought a wonderful painting and natural teas), had the opportunity to shop for souvenirs, and finished that tour with the best part....rum tasting!! Highly recommend this tour, but take an umbrella. You're either dodging the sun or the light showers.

New experiences! - Michelle was awesome. Her knowledge of the history of the island was impressive. The food was selections we would have not tried. All were excellent. She took us to places not on the tourist traps and they were all great! Plan to visit a few of them again. I highly recommend the tour for early in your visit to St. Thomas!

Not worth the money charged - Our tour guide was Great and my review has nothing to do with his part of my experience, that was less than favorable. I’ve done many food tours in many countries, this one was one of my least favorite. In short it isn’t worth the money you pay: $145 per person…I expect more than 2 food tastings/ dessert sampling. A tea sampling, and a Pain-Killer. Make sure you eat breakfast before going on this tour or you’ll be disappointed as we were. The history and knowledge shared by Big D was what made the tour acceptable.

Poor Experience - While the tour promised insights into the island's colonial history and local cuisine, it fell short on both fronts. The information provided was minimal and lacked depth, making it hard to appreciate the historical context of St. Thomas. The tour was also poorly organized. There were long periods of waiting around without any engagement or activity, which made the overall experience feel disjointed and awkward. The stops that were made for food tastings were decent but did not stand out or offer anything particularly memorable. In comparison to my previous food tour experiences, which have been engaging and informative, this one was a disappointment. I ended up leaving the tour early, with two stops remaining, feeling that my limited time in St. Thomas could be better spent elsewhere. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this tour. The lack of informative content and poor organization significantly contributed to a disappointing experience, which was a stark contrast to the positive reviews I had read beforehand.
