Unbelievable cave tubing family experience! - Wow! This was an amazing experience and such an enjoyable and educational way to see the remarkable underground caves of Belize. We had to tender to the port but it was no trouble finding the station where Charlie’s employees were located as all of them were wearing blue Superman shirts which all read “Charlie Chan’s Excursions”. We had 14 members of our family on the excursion and Charlie provided a comfortable, air conditioned van with a cooler filled with bottled water. Our guide, Brett, was so incredibly informative and spent the entire hour long drive to the caves pointing out local points of interest until we arrived at the site. We were able to rent Crocs or other water proof shoes as well as waterproof lanyard type plastic covers for cell phones so we could safely take pictures and videos throughout our expedition. We walked on a well worn path and waded across a creek for about a mile (30 minute walk) until we arrived at the starting point. We were each fitted with a comfortable flotation tube and a lighted safety helmet as well as a life vest. There were 14 of us ranging in age from 4-74 and the walk as well as the tubing experience was very manageable! Brett and another guide from the site adeptly hooked all our tubes together in rows of two and pulled/pushed our family through the caves explaining all about the areas of interest. So many fascinating stalagmites and stalactites. Towards the end of the cave, Brett encouraged us to hop out of the tubes and we all happily bobbed along the easy moving current until we came to the end of our tour! That was an unbelievable, memorable experience! After the tubing, we came back to the main entrance, changed into dry clothes and got back in our air conditioned van where Brett and the driver, Jonathan, had a cooler full of cold bottled water. We were taken to a charming local, open air “pub” for a Belizian lunch of rice, beans, chicken and salad along with water and/or soda. After lunch, we were returned to the port in plenty of time to board the ship before the mandatory set-sail time. I would highly recommend Charlie’s cave tubing excursion! The entire family considered it a real highlight of our cruise and we’re so pleased that we booked through Viator to go with Charlie’s group!

Cave Tubing - What an awesome experience! You get a chance to tube down a river through an ancient mayan cave. It is awesome. The rafts are tied together so no one floats away. The guides do a great job of keeping you away from the walls of the cave. I recommend bringing a dry bag for your stuff ( but keep it to a minimum), and also bug spray. The ride is slow and relaxing. No rapids.

Best excursion ever! - Such an amazing experience! We got to explore the Mayan underworld, Xibalba. Out guide Nolan was awesome! He was super knowledgeable and went above and beyond for us! He guided us through the caves and gave us a ton of cool information. He even stopped at a local site so we could get some cheap drinks! Charlies company is the best option if you want to see the caves! It is much cheaper than any other guided tour and we go further down the river than any other group! They even included the extra fee for them to bring the tubes up for us! Amazing company! Will book with them again!

Awesome experience... great guide. - We had Jonathan as our guide. He was awesome... can't say enough great things about him. He was knowledgeable about the caves and he shared quite a bit of information about Belize. The caves were pretty cool, lunch was yummy at the local on site restaurant. Very good bargain. I was a bit nervous booking this excursion that wasn't associated with the cruise ship we were on, but the guide was easy to find when we left the terminal and I was able to text him the day before and he responded right away. Overall awesome experience and would recommend using this company....and if you can ask for Jonathan.

We love Abner! - We got off the carnival Liberty & were met by Abner from Charlie’s cave tubing. He was waiting right outside the port store, and was easy to find with the instructions on our ticket. Abner was an absolute GEM! We had been told the excursions not booked through the ship in Belize could be kind of sketchy, so to be careful. Abner set our mind at easy very quickly. He was kind, friendly, informative, and very easy to communicate with. It was just my mom and I, and it was my 40th birthday, and it was an absolutely fabulous day. Having him all to ourselves was such a treat. We got to ask so many questions and learned so much about the Belezian culture and such. I would 110% recommend Charlie’s Cave Tubing to anyone visiting Belieze!

Great adventure in Belize - Unfortunately we did not take pics as we were told we would get wet. Deffinately take your cameras,it was awesome. We were on Royal Caribbean and a little dubious about booking a private tour in Belize. We got off the boat very quickly after we docked and a rep Aznar was waiting for us and told us us it may be 20 minutes as he was waiting for 3 more from Carneval so he escorted us to a great photo op place and we had a smoothie in a little park.20 minutes later he turned up with the others and off we went for about 50 minutes fide in a mini bus into the inside of Belize to these great caves. Our tube's were carried down to the water which was about a 20 minutes walk, which was nice and we went through water three times and then we were at the river.Floated down the river with Abnar narrating to us all the time with interesting facts.End of tour lunch and a drink, nothing fancy but enjoyable and a nice ride home.Great trip.My husband and I are in our 70s.
