This is the capital city, rich with historical buildings such as the National Museum, Berkeley Memorial, and St. George’s Anglican Church.
2. St. Thomas Anglican Church
The first Anglican Church in the Caribbean and the oldest on Nevis, St. Thomas’ was constructed in 1643. It is situated on the main road about three miles north of Charlestown and was originally built to serve Jamestown, the island’s first capital that has since vanished.
3. Museum of Nevis History
This two-story Georgian-style building is the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton in 1757. Hamilton lived on the island until he was nine. Later, he contributed to drafting the U.S. Constitution and became the first Secretary of the Treasury.
4. Nevis Hot Springs
Located at Bath Village, the hot springs offer therapeutic benefits that can still be enjoyed today. Nearby is the site of Bath Hotel, the first luxury hotel in the West Indies, built in 1778.
5. Historic Nevis Bath House Hotel
Built in 1778, the Bath Hotel was once a retreat for the wealthy and famous who visited Nevis for the therapeutic hot spring baths. Guests traveled by ship from across the West Indies and Europe for this delightful experience.
6. Pinneys Beach
Here, visitors can stop at the stunning Pinneys Beach for a swim or enjoy a delightful lunch at the world-renowned Sunshine’s Beach Bar and try the famous Killer Bee.
7. Sunshine’s Restaurant
