What a wonderful tour! - We've been on a number of tours around Charleston and were hesitant to book this because we thought it would be repetitious. Well, I'm so happy we did this tour! The first part, a walking tour, gives you insights to things around Charleston that other tours do not. We had walked the same streets before, but not had the insights that Chef Forrest offers. Then you head into Chef's business where he creates a 3 course meal for you of elevated southern dishes. Wow! All the dishes were fantastic and he does the final prep in front of you and is more than happy to share insights on how to create them. Local ingredients are emphasized and Chef explains what makes them unique. I highly recommend this tour!!

He was so knowledgeable in Charleston history, took us too some unique and fascinating parts of the city, and then treated us to a delicious meal all the time providing culinary tips and tricks and quite a bit of humor!! We have visited Charleston for years and have done many tours…this was the best by far

The best food tour in the world - Hands down the best money I’ve ever spent. Chef Forest is kind funny thorough and unbelievably informative. I’ve never eaten such delicious food made with such TLC and I loved the way he wrapped the history of the city of Charleston with the ingredients he used throughout the courses he served. The walking tour to start was fabulous and I’m still in awe how much knowledge he possesses in his brain. Can’t recommend this tour enough and will absolutely do it again with friends or family when I return again.

Best money we’ve spent in Charleston! - This small group tour exceeded our expectations, opened our eyes, and satisfied our appetites as Chef Parker explained how Charleston’s colorful (and dark) past is inextricably linked to it’s cuisine. During the nearly 6-hour event, he was accommodating and engaging with all members of our party, and the meal he prepared at the end of the tour was among the best we’ve had in the low country. Bravo, chef! We’ll certainly be back for more on our next trip to the Holy City.

World's best shrimp and grits! - We celebrated a significant birthday as a group of 11 female college friends. We learned so much about Charleston cuisine, its history and the history of its special ingredient combinations. On our walk around the city Forest took us to undiscovered locations away from the crowds, and kept us entertained with interesting anecdotes. Afterwards we watched him cook an amazing meal as he focused on the unique ingredients and their relationships to Charleston and its traditions. He is a food whisperer and it was a magical meal together! Wait until you taste his bacon..... Superbly combined his ingredients for a winning gourmet experience! WOW!

Fun, Food & Friends - We enjoyed a tour of the French Quarter in. Charleston with 10 other women…dearest of friends. Forrest met us and we had a three hour walking tour where he shared history and fun facts that combined history with southern low country cuisine. The walk was at the perfect pace and highlighted some of the special places we had never seen. ( we have been to Charleston many times!) After the tour ended we went to a local restaurant Azur where when had a fun and delicious lunch paired with wines. The chef cooked for us and explained the ingredients, the cooking methods and totally entertained us! We had a three course lunch and the grand finale was a scrumptious bread pudding piled with whipped cream and fresh berries. I would highly recommend sharing this experience with friends on your next visit to. Charleston! bravo for Chef Forrest Parker👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Excellent Way to Spend a Day in Charleston! - I highly recommend Chef Forrest Parker's half-day food, wine and history experience. Forrest gave us an unbiased and thorough historical walking tour of downtown Charleston. We saw beautiful architectural features and discussed the city's history. The tour was followed by an incredible, five-star meal prepared by Chef. The shrimp and grits were delicious and followed by a creative, Krispy Kreme bread pudding. A great tour for a couple, a family, or a group of friends.
