An amazing and educational experience that made our trip to Charleston truly special! - Kay was a phenomenal guide at every step of the tour! From the text reminding us where to meet her to high energy walk through the streets, she was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Her experience and ability to convey the rich history of Charleston through historically accurate storytelling and narrative was not only impressive, but also a unique and memorable way to learn while we walked! I would highly recommend anyone looking to learn more about the city join Kay on one of her walking tours or reach out to her for a private tour!

LEARNING AND LAUGHING ON THE WALK-IT! CHARLESTON TOUR - "Walk It! Charleston" with Kay Abrams is an EXCELLENT tour of the historic heart of Charleston and the port area. Kay is a fount of factual information, but she presents the facts in vivid narratives about the principal events that shaped Charleston over the centuries, for better or for worse. She points out monuments to the resilience of Charlestonians in the face of fires, floods, wars, and even a California-quality earthquake in 1886. She tackles the hard issues of slavery straight on. At the same time, she has an irrepressible sense of humor about the people and events of Charleston history that keeps the tour entertaining throughout. As a final plus, Kay is very deft at providing her clients with the maximum amount of shade possible from the stately live oaks and other sun blockers during our two hours walking in the let's-face-it fairly taxing Charleston heat.

Very Informative Tour - My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed Steve’s small group historical walking tour. We learned so much about Charleston history. Steve was pleasant & passionate about the city. There were only 4 of us on the tour which made it nice to hear & ask questions. Highly recommended!

Incredibly engaging and informative tour!! - Our tour guide Steve was fantastic! As a local, I’ve been on many tours of downtown Charleston, and I learned so much new information from Steve! His involvement with the community gives him a knowledge that is truly set apart from all the rest. Along with the tour, he gave me and my friend wonderful recommendations for food and activities downtown. We absolutely loved our experience and I would highly recommend this tour!

Top quality tour from a top quality local expert - Steve’s tour of Old Charleston was the highlight of our stay. He’s a “binyah,” and his lifelong knowledge of the area came out through his detailed stories as we visited many fascinating sites around the city. He also seems to know everyone, and lots of people we ran into clearly know him, too. Highly recommended!
