Worth the Money - Really enjoyed our day, beautiful property, very knowledgeable guides, lunch was good! Also took the rice field guide, was worth the extra 25.00 a piece.

Their gardens don't look quite as lush as when I saw them in 2012 - I actually went years ago while on business (not in 2023) It was very lush and impressive then however, I've seen recent pics and perhaps their 2015 hurricane did some damage; the European landscaped gardens don't look the same in the most recent photos but still worth a visit.

Awesome plantation tour with Nick - Nick provided an awesome trip from our hotel pickup through the drop off. Tour was very relaxed yet informative. The golf cart tour of grounds definitely was great! Ask for Nick when you book!

Don’t miss this tour! - Nick with Chicora tours was excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The Middleton Plantation was our favorite historical tour. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston.

Amazing tour to Middleton Place - We went to Middleton Place with Chicoro tours. Nick the owner drove us there and did an excellent job explaining the history of the area. We took a garden tour to explore the beautiful grounds. The lunch was amazing! I highly recommend this tour.

I just wish we had had... - I just wish we had had more time at Middleton. So much to see. When our ride arrived, we still had not seen a lot of the grounds or outbuildings. Lunch was great.

Time travel in beautiful South Carolina - We loved the House Tour, and the grounds are beautiful. The staff onsite are cordial and helpful, We met one of the curators and had a great conversation about period textiles and needlework implements. Loved the docents’ stories too.

Top Notch Tour - We booked the Middleton Plantation Tour with Nick, the owner of Chicora Tours. He picked us up at our hotel and was extremely personable and professional. Nick provided us with an overview of Charleston history while we were driving to the plantation. Upon our arrival, the knowledgeable docents gave detailed tours about the Middleton family, the land, and buildings. There were several demonstrations going on that day including how indigo dye was made, the harvesting of rice, and how wool is prepared. A delicious buffet lunch was included as part of our tour package at the restaurant on site. We were enjoying ourselves so much that Nick agreed to pick us up a half hour later than planned. On the return trip to Charleston Nick continued our history lesson and pointed out several historical neighborhoods and homes. On a side note, we were interested in a ghost tour, so Nick set that up for us as well. He promised that our guide was one of the best and Darian did not let us down. Her great knowledge of history and ghostly stories was totally engaging and enthralling. We spent 2 hours with Darian and could have listened for much longer.

Not enough time to do it right - The tour time was too short! We didn't get to see everything and felt very rushed. Was given confusing directions by an employee when we got there, and spent precious time trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. Definitely too short, considering the amount of money spent. Next time will just drive myself out there...

Girls Trip - Lunch is very good. Garden’s are beautiful. Driver was kind enough to pick us up at and return us our hotel.
