Perfect Tour in Charleston! - This was the perfect tour! Our guide was friendly, helpful, and informative. He made sure we were all together and gave us lots of good insights on the property. We took the tram tour first, then the tour of the house, he walked us through some of the gardens, and finally to the slave tour. The slave tour was very well done and so meaningful! This is the perfect tour to take if you're staying in Charleston without a car. They get you to the plantation and help you to explore it. Special thanks to our tour guide for allowing us to stay in the bus for a few extra minutes during the downpour!

This is a must do if you... - This is a must do if you are visiting South Carolina. The house is beautiful. You do get to go inside but cannot take pictures inside because everything inside still belongs to the family. The grounds are breathtaking! We saw a gator chasing a couple of little ducklings across the pond during the wildlife train ride… we were all rooting for them and holding our breath. They made it across! The presentation of the “from slavery to freedom” component was so honest and hard to hear, brought me to tears a few times. I learned more than all that I thought I knew. I’m glad we took the adventures tour bus. They have a relationship with the property that seemed to prioritize the adventure groups and seamlessly moved us along through the wildlife train, the house, the slavery tour, and we still had time to take pictures, explore a bit on our own, and visit the gift shop. There is a little cafe on site as well with drinks, snacks, light lunch, ice cream. Tour guide Anderson was super personable, professional, knowledgeable, and had an easy going energy. This will be a visit I never forget. It was perfect and priced right. Bring water, sunblock, bug spray on hot days.

Knowledgeable staff - Well worth the visit! Madison was very informative and well versed with the Magnolia Plantation history! She would be an asset to any history program! Beverly was outstanding as well with her knowledge of the enslaved peoples and suffering this community endured. Bravo!

Well-maintained plantation with very informative guides. - We chose not to rent a car while staying in Charleston, but we wanted to see a plantation. Adventure Tours picked us up at the old railway station and drove us to (and from) the plantation. They also took care of purchasing all of our tour tickets. The driver was very knowledgeable and also helped all of his passengers get where we needed to go for each of the 3 tours included in our package: House Tour; Gardens Tour; Slavery to Freedom Tour. He also took us on a river walk tour to spot alligators, turtles and birds. A very full day with the tours being back-to-back, but very enjoyable. Pick up was at 10am, and drop off was around 3pm.
