- St. Philip’s Church - Your carriage ride will pass by the renowned St. Philip’s Church, the oldest congregation in the U.S. south of Virginia. Located just off the Market on Church Street, this stunning landmark is a must-see.
- Charleston City Market - Our Barn is situated just off the Charleston City Market. Here, you will meet your certified tour guide before departing on your hour-long horse or mule-drawn carriage tour. The carriage will pass through the City gate at the market, where the tour guide is assigned a route. You will explore about 30 blocks of the historic district, featuring beautiful architecture, churches, buildings, gardens, and more. The tour concludes at the Big Red Barn.
- U.S. Custom House - Pass by the iconic U.S. Custom House in Charleston, S.C. Construction of this historic building began in 1852 but was paused due to the potential secession of South Carolina from the Union. The building was finally completed in 1879.
- Circular Congregational Church - Discover the many mysterious hauntings in and around this historic Charleston landmark. Learn about the church’s history, dating back to 1681, and hear the spooky stories surrounding its graveyard.

A great way to see the city! - Thank you to Jeremy for a wonderful tour and to our horse, America, for doing all the work and keeping us safe! This is a great way to see the city. It was great to be able to sit down after walking so much and take in the ghost stories and see historical places. I would highly recommend this tour.

Boo Hag Fun - We had a great time with Big Mike & Josh on our Haunted Horse Carriage Ride. We were honestly a little reluctant when the only carriage rides available were haunted rides, because some of us don’t love “scary” things. But we didn’t need to be. Mike did an excellent job of weaving the history or Charleston into the narrative, and we all loved it. The ride was very comfortable, informative, and fun, even on a rainy night. Highly recommend. Our family would absolutely do this carriage ride again next time we’re in Charleston.

Perfect October carriage ride - Had an awesome experience! Big Mike was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and had us all laughing several times on the tour. The stories at each stop were very interesting. Our noble steed for the evening was Duce. I felt very safe with him doing the leading, as it’s clear these horses are well trained and loved. Admission fee was reasonable and worth the cost for a lovely evening carriage ride. It was the perfect October night, ghost story experience. Would definitely recommend Big Mike and Duce as the tour guides!

We had an amazing time on... - We had an amazing time on our tour. Our guide, Kevin, was funny and personable, explained all of the historical facts and told great ghost stories of the haunted past of Charleston. When we made it back to the stable, we were able to pet the horse and take pictures with him. I would definitely use this company for another tour.

A Wonderful Experience - My husband, our dear friend, and I signed up for the haunted carriage ride, which was an intriguing and very informative experience. Our guide was Kevin and our horse was Moultrie, who were both amusing and amazing at helping us see this city and sights you do not normally see on foot. Our adventure started with a double rainbow, then the sunset gave us astonishing views of distant steeples and other places of historic interest. Our guide Kevin was a fantastic storyteller and made the whole experience personable, while Moultrie was a trooper with a great disposition, leaving us with a real appreciation for the fascinating aspects of this historic city. A must-do while here!

So entertaining - The tour led by Sydney and her horse Miss M??? was so entertaining that we mapped the route and followed it the next morning in order to get better photos. Thank you Sydney. Enjoy New Zealand in January!

Great carriage ride with Big Mike and Deuce of Palmetto Carriage Rides. - Had a wonderful night time ride with Big Mike and his sidekick, Deuce. Big Mike told some great stories. I especially enjoyed the story of Edgar Allen Poe and Annabelle Lee.
