Authentic, cozy and delicious bread. - Last September, I gave my parents a baking course in sourdough bread as a gift on the occasion of my father's birthday. The contact with Jacob was very pleasant from the start; he thought along with me when I had to tell my parents the right location remotely, and was even waiting for them outside, which was greatly appreciated. (Location is located outside the center of Chania) The course itself was given by Veerna, among others, who led the group of a total of 8 participants through the baking process in a very fun and involved way. She took the time for everyone, so everyone could participate at their own pace and learn the right techniques. The ingredients were of good quality and everything was done in the authentic way, which made the experience very special. The table was full of all kinds of Greek dishes, different kinds of olive oil, and of course you had the opportunity to taste your own bread. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, and it was clear that Veerna and her family are incredibly passionate about what they do. They even toasted my father's birthday several times, which made the day even more special. In addition, Veerna made the extra gesture to share a specific recipe with my parents. The location was also beautiful, which made the whole experience even more beautiful. In short, I highly recommend this baking course to anyone interested in sourdough bread and want to experience a unique, fun day. It was an unforgettable experience for my parents and a wonderful gift.

A perfect day! - We had the most wonderful day learning how to make sourdough bread with Veerna, her brother and her nephew. Their beautiful facility is nestled among olive trees next to a charming little church. We each made our own loaf of bread and were able to add ingredients of our own choosing. When the bread was baked, we all enjoyed a delicious meal at a lovely table outside. It was the highlight of our visit to Chania!

So much fun. - Veerna, kostas, and Alex were so hospitable. They made you feel like you are visiting family. Making break was so much fun, and eating it, was even better.

So much more than bread making ❤️ - I had so much fun on the cooking class & I raved about it so much that on the sourdough course I was joined by my two 18 year olds & hubby. They are now raving about it too whilst chowing down on our delicious bread & fava dip we brought home. It was such a lovely day out Veerna & Kostas are the perfect hosts & teachers we didn’t want to leave! Make sure you book in it’s a must do.

Make Bread, Eat Great Greek Food, Sample Raki, and Be Charmed by Hosts - Such a fun and charming experience. Veerna and Costas (sister and brother) were warm, inviting, informative. Bread and other food was terrific. Sharing the experience with a small group of other people from different countries was also part of the enjoyment. You are able to participate in creating the bread (with your own additives), cooking it in an outdoor pizza oven, combining it with classic Greek items like Greek salad (tomatoes and cucumbers from their mother's garden!), Fava puree, roasted small potatoes, χοιρινό (pork) -- all with homemade wine and Raki (grape-based brandy from Crete) courtesy of Costas. Their property is full of olive trees and their own herb garden, and next to a property with sheep and avocado trees. Located just outside of Chania old town, easy to get to. Top notch experience and highly recommended.

Wonderful experience - After a unique experience at the cooking class, we signed up for the baking class as a family with two adults and two children. Like the cooking class, the baking class takes place in a fantastic setting, an olive tree plantation. A sourdough bread was prepared with individual, delicious fillings so that everyone could prepare the bread they love best. You could combine everything to your own taste: for example : Feta, dried tomatoes, olives, sunflower seeds, various herbs, to name a few. The warm hosts create a great atmosphere and as with the cooking class, you have the feeling of spending wonderful time with friends. The time the dough takes was used to explore the large garden and harvest the vegetables for the salad. Once the dough is ready, everyone fills and decorates their own bread until it enters the large oven to be baked. A bean puree is prepared on the side. In all this, the guest is fully integrated, everything is explained in detail. At the end, when the bread came out of the oven, a richly laid table awaited us, with salad, tzatziki, fava and of course “our” bread. In addition, we were allowed to taste various olive oils. For dessert gave a sweet variation of the bread combined with yogurt and pickled fruit. An all-round successful morning, like the cooking class, makes you feel wonderfully cared for and spends a wonderful time.

Wonderful experience, excellent hosts, majestic location! Would totally recommend - Veerna and her brother Kostas were such lovely hosts. We did the sourdough bread class (family of 4) and had such a great time! We prepared some awesome bread loaves and learned a lot about Cretan food, we hand-picked veggies for the salad, enjoyed a proper meal with fava, pork chops, wine, 4 different types of olive oil etc... The location was amazing, a traditional Cretan house in an olive grove, not far from the city. Thank you so much!

Unmissable experience! - Incredible experience with Veerna and Kosta at their farm house. We enjoyed learning the ins and outs of bread making, and using the ingredients they produce at home to make our breads unique. Having it at the end with all the other dishes was a satisfying way to end the session. Thoroughly recommend if you are visiting Crete!!

Amazing Sourdough Baking Class! - AMAZING experience, was the highlight of our 7 day trip to Greece. The hosts were so wonderful, made us feel right at home and comfortable the entire time. Their knowledge and food were exceptional and we shared many laughs and drinks after lunch! Would highly recommend to any travelers looking for a very unique and authentic experience. Will return if we travel back to Crete, for sure!
