highly recommend, full but fulfilling day! - This has been by far the best tour I've had in two months of traveling. MM was an ethusiastic guide, sharing great information about the sites we were traveling to and the people of the Karen tribe we interacted with. The lunch was the best food I've had in thailand! Happy was an excellent driver. I would only add that for the Karen village visit, I think it would be a more unique experience to have an option to chat with the women more about their journey and culture with the guide translating rather than be shown more goods to buy ( I know they help support them). I also think more history regarding the history of the countries of the Golden Triangle would make it a more informative tour as well. It was hot, but many places to buy drinks to cool down as well! It was a full day, but alot of time to rest in the car and very worthwhile, especially thanks to MM!

To go at least once in your life - It's worth going at least once in your life! Fantastic landscapes, good food. The best thing is to go by car from Bkk, stopping at temples and spectacular little towns and return by plane. And yes, it's worth getting to know the Karen, getting to know other cultures.

Amazing attractions packed in one long long day - Amazing attractions in Chiang rai and golden triangle.Travelling many milage, and thanks hid the van was better spacious than other day tours. The guide was knowledgeable, however, should chat slower.. Overall it is recommended , but be aware of a very long day (14 hours)

A long journey but it was worth it - Excellent experience that allows you to see so many places in a single day. Be prepared for the many hours of driving but it's worth it. A tip: inform yourself first about the places you are going to visit. Being many, you will have little time to read the historical information on site.

Very long ride, very quiet group. - The Long Neck women were amazing, as was the White Temple. Was not happy with guide who was not good communicating. He needs to get better if he will continue to be an English speaking Guide. He did not seem to know very much about the places, or we just couldn’t understand what he was saying. He would talk about each place for 5 min then leave us on our own. He was very sweet though, took many pictures for “his mom”. Said I love you to us many, many times. Also, I was placed in a group of young Italians who were younger than me by 30+ years! They were not friendly. Not happy with it since I got this booked months ago. At least try to get people together with similar age groups.

I would avoid this tour unless……… - I would avoid this tour unless you want to spend 14 hours in a minibus, driving to see a few temples, though the White Temple was very cool, have family style lunch drive 1.5 hours to see Mekong River, take rickety boat ride for 30 minutes, drive 4.5 hours back to Chiang Mai. Our guide was horrible, barely gave us any information along the way, his/her English was difficult to a understand at times, driver was on his phone while driving, only to be topped off at 7-11 for a microwaved hot dog for dinner. There has to be a better way to do. I’ve used Viator many times in the past but this was by far the worst I have ever experienced. Tom
