A Whirlwind of Magic and Adventure

As a family travel writer, I am always on the lookout for experiences that can bring joy and wonder to both children and adults alike. So, when I heard about the Disneyland Paris Multi-Day Ticket experience, I knew it was time to pack our bags and head to Champs-sur-Marne. After all, who can resist the allure of Disney magic?

Upon arriving at Disneyland Paris, I was immediately struck by the cleanliness and charm of the parks. Unlike the bustling crowds of the U.S. parks, Disneyland Paris felt refreshingly spacious and welcoming. The cast members were a delight, greeting us with warm smiles and a friendly “Bonjour madam/monsieur, parlez vous Anglais?” It was a wonderful start to our adventure.

The parks themselves were a visual feast. The Sleeping Beauty Castle, perched majestically on a hill, was a sight to behold. Its square-cut trees and enchanting design transported us straight into a fairy tale. Discoveryland, with its Jules Verne-inspired steampunk aesthetic, was a particular favorite. The thrilling Space Mountain ride, with its unexpected inversions and pitch-black twists, left us exhilarated and a little queasy, but eager for more.

Exploring the Enchanting Lands

Adventureland was a treasure trove of excitement, with its life-sized Skull Rock and pirate ship straight out of Peter Pan. My children were thrilled to explore the caves and waterfalls, their imaginations running wild with tales of pirates and hidden treasures. Frontierland offered a darker twist with the Phantom Manor, a hauntingly beautiful experience that captivated us all.

Walt Disney Studios Park was a delightful addition to our visit. The Toy Story area, Avengers Campus, and Ratatouille ride were highlights, each offering a unique glimpse into the worlds of beloved Disney and Pixar characters. The Tower of Terror, a nostalgic favorite from our visits to Disneyland in California, was a thrilling ride that we couldn’t resist experiencing again.

The shops throughout both parks were a joy to explore, filled with creatively themed merchandise that captured the essence of Disney magic. From Sir Mickey’s in Fantasyland to Merlin The Enchanter, each shop was a mini adventure in itself. We were lucky to visit during the 30th anniversary celebration, snagging some fantastic merchandise at a discount.

A Magical Evening Stroll

One of the most surprising aspects of our visit was the tranquility of the parks on Friday and Saturday nights. As day-trippers from Paris headed home, the parks transformed into a peaceful haven, allowing us to walk onto rides with ease. It was a stark contrast to the bustling U.S. parks and a welcome change for our family.

Staying at the Disney Newport Bay Club Hotel added to the magic of our trip. The short walk to the park gates, passing through the charming Disney Village, set the tone for our daily adventures. The emphasis on Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella throughout the parks was a delightful touch, with beautiful courtyards and enchanting walkthroughs that brought these classic tales to life.

While some attractions, like the Storybook Land Canal and Disneyland Railroad, left us wanting more, the overall experience was nothing short of magical. Disneyland Paris offered a unique blend of familiar Disney charm and European elegance, making it a must-visit for any Disney enthusiast. Whether you’re a fan of thrilling rides or enchanting stories, this park has something for everyone.
