Truly Heartwarming and Educational Experience - From the moment we arrived at Bukit Elephant Park, it was clear that this is a place where the elephants come first. Unlike some other attractions, here the focus is entirely on the well-being and natural lifestyle of these gentle giants. The staff’s passion and knowledge really shone through — they took the time to explain the elephants’ backgrounds, habits, and personalities, and it was inspiring to see how much love and respect they have for the animals. What stood out most was being able to observe the elephants roaming and behaving naturally in a safe, open environment. There was no sense of exploitation or forced performances — just genuine care and responsible conservation. Watching the elephants interact with each other, and learning how they are looked after properly, was both moving and educational. This visit left us with a deeper appreciation not only for the elephants but also for the importance of ethical wildlife tourism. I highly recommend Bukit Elephant Park to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience that is kind to the animals and enriching for visitors.

Wonderful way to get up close and personal with the elephants on their terms - Very informative and interesting tour. Our tour guide was easy to understand and willing to answer any questions we had. This park does a fantastic job in rehousing abused elephants from Circuses and other tourist spots where these gentle giants have been mistreated. The best thing about this place is that these animals 'run' the place and they are not forced to face the patrons if they choose not to. If you are worried about humane treatment of animals, then this is a good place for you

Highly recommended family activity - My family and I booked the mini walk and feed tour at Bukit elephant park in August 2025 whilst staying in Phuket. It was an excellent tour from start to finish. Pick up from our hotel in Kata beach was smooth and on time and once we arrived at the park we were kitted out in gum boots and waterproof ponchos as the weather changed. We were then taken to feed bananas to the elephants and our guide chatted to us about the elephants, their history, personalities and their care. Once fed we went on a walk around the park (which is way more spacious than others I have been to in Thailand) we were able to see the elephants feeding on grasses and we were able to get closer to the elephants where the carers said it was ok. At the end of the walk we made rice balls and fed the elephants again which was a great experience. All in all it was a really great trip, the two hours was ample time to see all the elephants and it was very informative, the guides and carers seemed to know the animals so well and it was a real highlight of our holiday

Amazing experience visiting this ethical, peaceful sanctuary & feeding rescued elephants. - We last visited there 17yo & are pleased to return & find it is a sanctuary for injured elephants & that our entry fee subsidizes future elephant rescues. The lovely lady that gave us the tour told us about each elephant - how they ended up there, ages & personality quirks. Some like to be touched & others don’t and we had photo’s taken nearby or touching the ones that enjoyed it. We watched them have a splash as it was a hot day & fed them bananas when we arrived & fruity rice balls before we left. It was very peaceful there & good to see the elephants so well cared for & would recommend a visit (& bring a hat & comfy shoes to walk around for the tour)

Must do - Will remember forever this amazing experience. Elephants are cared for here and loved. So good to be able to get so close to the elephants without invading their space, as in not allowed to ride them or bathe with them.

A peaceful morning and beautiful sanctuary - Overall was a great experience with very professional and knowledgeable staff. The workers treat the elephants very kindly after previous abuse from captivity. From start to finish very smooth and if I could give this place 6 stars I would!

Excellent Day Out with the Elephants - Lovely day exploring elephants and learning about them at Bukit Elephant Park. No riding, no bathing, no activities that would cause any kind of harm or stress to the elephants. Simply being in the same space and feeding them was enough. Picked up and dropped off by the Bukit team from the hotel, which made it easy from a logistics perspective. Excellent value.

Great experience - I attended the Walk & Feed program and it was great. One hour is plenty of time to experience the elephants and learn more about them. Highly recommended for families too.

Awesome time - Complimentary Thai tea was nice. Spending time with the elephants was great! We started off by feeding them bananas which they took from your hand with their trunks. We then walked along the preserve and go to take pics with a few of them and saw them take a bath. We then made rice balls and hand fed them directly to their mouth which was a really cool experience. Their tongues are HUGE and slimy. The whole experience was great from beginning to end. They provide you with cold water and umbrellas for shade. The elephants seem well taken care of and have lots of room to roam. The tour guide was very informative. I highly recommend this tour.
