Little Africa tour in Rio de janeiro - We were guided by Rafael Luis on the Little Africa tour and I must say that he is an incredible tour guide. He was informative, courteous and knowledgeable and we learned so much about African Brazilian history. I found both of the museum stops particularly interesting, and Cais do Valongo. We really enjoyed our time and we appreciated that he waited and made sure that we got into our Uber at the end. I would recommend this tour.

History and cultural heritage excavated - This was a most extensive and detailed history tour I have been on. Focusing on the motherland and its people’s enduring spirit it brought me to the shoreline of Rio and extensions beyond. Marianne my guide laid out the survival essentials our people used and those which are relevant and still being utilized today. The tour is worth going through twice to absorb it all. Thank you Etnias

Rio and Africa, together telling a history that will never be forgotten. - The tour was wonderful, I learned a lot about our ancestors. Listening to our guide Carol explaining each stage of the exhibition was very enriching for us to understand how our ancestors lived in Rio de Janeiro.

Totally disruptive! - Amazing how easy they were to break the 4th wall about everything we think we know about the Old River and the colonization. He intends to do it again with the family this time.

2024 Rio Christmas Tour with Family - The ease of booking, pricing and communication was great. Our tour guide was very patient with our inquisitive group and expounded on the great and at times painful and beautiful stories of Rio and Brazil. We toured signature areas, that if you don't go on the tour, you would miss out in such great gems. When our friends from the states come to visit, we will ensure they book this tour.

Don't sleep on this - We really enjoyed this tour, so much that we believe it should be a must see like the Christ and Sugarloaf. Our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about presenting what black culture is like in Brazil. He also teaches and brought us to a location that he teaches at ,even though the place was closed for the holiday. We still were able to take some beautiful pictures outside the location before moving on to the museum. The whole time I was comparing the similarities and differences of blacks in the USA. I was pleased to meet some of the VIP associated with the museum and that was a really great experience. I don't want to give out too many details and spoil it for anyone, so I'll just summarize and say that we found it to be just as significant of a tour as the 2 main Rio attractions (Christ/Sugar).
