Day at the beach - My expectations were low and I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended. Excellent lunch by Steve, rum punch water availability through the day. Lounge chairs and umbrellas for all.

Fab trip with Kareem - Thoroughly enjoyed this trip and good value. Just little disorganised but once we had found our guide all was well. Beach gorgeous, sea and sand perfect and lobster delicious. Ask for a steel donkey!

Best Beach Day - The experience was wonderful. Kareem was able to pick us up from our airbnb, and provided us some history on Antigua while we drove to the beach. Kareem made sure that once we were on the beach that the beach staff accommodated us with whatever we needed including the wifi password. We were able to lounge and be secluded on the beach separate from where all the other guests and the hotels, but it was nice that we have the option to walk along the beach to see the hotels. The food was amazing. He even accommodated us on the way home after the excursion. I highly recommend and when I return back to Antigua, I will be sure to book with him again.

Fun & Relaxing Beach Day - Dickenson bay was only 10 minutes from the cruise port. We enjoyed umbrellas, loungers and various drinks while there on our private excursion. The operator picked us up and had an associate tend to our needs during our 5 hour stay. Water was warm and enjoyable. Lots of other vacationers at this location with numerous drink stands, hotels and food. Right next to Sandals resort. Had a nice lobster lunch.

Not a care in the world beach day - Although Dickinson Bay Beach is far more crowded than our first visit years ago, Salt Life sets up customers at the least busy area of the beach, which is a bonus. Clean Chaises and large umbrellas make even a hot day lovely on the beach. Best of all -- the freshly speared lobster was by far the best and BIGGEST we'd ever enjoyed in decades of Caribbean adventures. Salt Life created a lovely beach day for us.

Lower your expectations - Kareem picked us up on time next to a store front near the cruise port. He let us know to look for his green shirt. He was pleasant and answered questions about the island as we drove down a few bumpy roads. The drive to the beach was about 10 minutes away.
Perhaps my expectations were a bit too elevated, but there was no "beach bar." He took us and 6 others to a small stretch of beach with 4 umbrellas and 8 chairs, a backyard grill, a trash bag hanging from a tree, and an Igloo cooler filled with bottled water and a jug of Kareem's homemade rum punch. The nearest bathroom was a considerable walk down the beach (300 yards) at a nearby restaurant. He claimed there was construction at his restaurant and was keeping us away from the noise, so there was a change in venue. We cannot verify that claim, but neither saw nor heard any construction in the direction he indicated. My sense is that this is the normal location for this excursion, and that there really is no restaurant or beach bar. There was, however, someone banging on a small shed right next to where we were beached. There were also a series of other umbrellas and chairs lined up along the beach that looked like other vendors were offering a similar beach experience.
Kareem ducked out to bring the lobster back to roast on the grill. Not sure where he went, (I'm guessing a local grocery) but we did not observe him retrieve them from the water as a promotional photo I saw may have indicated. The green salad was fresh and tasty. The Mac and Cheese looked like it was made from a box. I didn't eat the seasoned rice, but it looked fine.
The water was calm, warm and refreshing. The white sand was soft under our feet. There were some hidden rocks in the water that we had to avoid or risk stubbing our toes. The weather forecast called for rain all day, but we had mostly sun. We could see a storm was brewing off shore. When we heard thunder and saw lightning, the group decided they had had enough. We were encouraged to stay and wait out the storm by a local, but there was no shelter other than a beach umbrella and the van we came in so we asked to leave. Kareem obliged and took us back to the ship. We never did see the storm come ashore, so perhaps the locals were right.

Just Ok - Really not worth the money, they weren’t prepared for us. Cab back to ship was late. Location was nice.

Canceled - I was really looking forward to the tour, but it got canceled, and they still haven’t refunded the fee, which has been very disappointing.

Not a good address and not recommended - We decided to do the tour based on the negative reviews and were bitterly disappointed.
The pick-up from the provider was more than 30 minutes late. We walked the whole street over and over again looking for him. A nice lady from security then tried several times to contact the provider by phone using the number we had been given in advance.
The provider - name unknown (owner of the beach bar) - did not even apologize for being late. He also received a fine for parking in a no-parking zone. This cost more time, which was taken away from our time at the beach. He also did not wear the light green T-shirt as an identifying mark, as advertised. The inside of the vehicle was very dirty and unkempt. On the beach he showed us the loungers and the parasol (which were OK) and the toilet area, there was no shower, he told us to go to the sea. The beach (endless seaweed) and toilet were - like the vehicle - not in good condition. The "lobster meal" was a complete disaster and could be improved a lot, as it was burnt and served in cardboard bowls with lids and plastic cutlery. We've eaten better for less money.
After arriving at the beach, we agreed on the return time. However, the "provider" had already closed his beach bar on the agreed date and had not given us any information. We then spoke to a man who was at the closed beach bar. He then organized our transfer back to the ship. The young driver was - like his car - very well maintained. For us, however, the day was ruined, as we had been looking forward to a nice day at the beach. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this excursion. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the positive reviews of other guests. The excursion was not worth the money and therefore not recommended.
