Amazing day trip to Oslob - We got picked up at 5 am in Cebu City. The driver was very competent, safe and arrived 30 min early. We got handed to our guide, Maxene, she was very friendly and recommended us to go monkey watching, which was also amazing. Overall unforgettable experience, would recommend to anyone!

Amazing Experience!! - Awesome experience! Do it with a guide for sure! The lineups without a guided tour look like they take a long time to get out on the water to swim! My guide (I think Dan was her name) was great! She made the experience so much more efficient, fun and exciting than trying to do this alone.

Unethical activity, I wouldn't do it again - This activity is very unethical: whale sharks are attracted near the beach in the morning and then are blocked in an area delimited by buoys for the rest of the day where they are fed to come and swim near the tourists. They are then released in the evening and come back every day... I did not appreciate it at all, if you can turn to better organizations…

Help - To flee absolutely!! Our tour started very badly, this “activity”, even if it supports some local people, looks more like a large amusement park. From hundreds of people are launched near whale sharks that are fed abundantly. No distance with these majestic creatures, who kick each other by tourists ready to do anything to have the best possible picture....I am ashamed to have participated in this circus....but I must take and make you this deplorable feedback....
There are other islands where whitewater encounters are organized, of course the encounter is not guaranteed, but it is respectful.

Unethical excursion to escape - The whales are therefore concentrated in one place surrounded by one of the nets, which make the area an enclosure, far from their natural space, chain boats with dozens of tourists on them leave every 5min, so that in one morning more than a thousand tourists could swim with these locked whales.
A regulation is in place but very little respected (distance to 5m, do not touch...) people panic and touch the animals. To take their best picture people try to get as close as possible.
This system is not tolerable, and other cities offer to see them in their natural state by protecting and respecting them.
To flee!!!!!!

Horrible and shameful - We cancelled our stay in Cebu knowing the conditions to see and swim alongside the whale sharks, thank you to all the negative comments and shame to all those who give 4 or 5 stars for this deplorable spectacle, shame to you, so you do not respect these animals......
Flee these vile activities

Horrific experience - The worst activity I have ever done in my life. I regret having participated in this business ... quick description: thousands of people waiting by a beach, 30 boats in the water that make a circuit 20m from the beach where whale sharks are fed. No distance rules are observed with animals.

To flee - It's like Marineland, or worse...! The shark is fed constantly to stay in front of tourists (no more migration for the pleasure of tourists). Dozens and dozens of boats are around them most people do not respect the animal and touch it or get too close! Guides say nothing, profit above all! We must boycott this kind of practice that harms the animal! To have seen what happened your way would save you 2 hours drive!
