Private Tour of Mount Etna with Lunch and Wine Tasting at Etna Winery
Mount Etna - After breakfast, a friendly private English-speaking guide will accompany you to Europe’s highest active volcano. The first stop is Zafferana Etnea, a charming village on Etna’s slope, renowned for its honey. Here, you will taste local honey, olive oils, wines, and liqueurs. The journey continues up Etna to see the Cyclops cave before reaching “Rifugio Sapienza” station at 1900 meters, where you will walk around the famous Silvestri Craters.
After visiting Mt Etna, the guide will take you to one of the finest wineries on Etna’s slope. You will tour the estate and visit the cellars, where the owner will explain the wine-making process and the history of this family-run winery. A traditional Sicilian lunch will be served, featuring locally produced cheeses, salami, prosciutto, sausages, couscous, and more. A professional sommelier will offer five glasses of Sicilian Etna DOC red and white wines.
Overnight stay in Taormina.

Private Godfather Tour with Lunch in a Traditional “Trattoria”
Bar Vitelli - The first stop is Savoca, an unspoiled medieval town near Taormina that served as a stand-in for Corleone, where Michael was hiding during the “going to the mattresses” period. Here, you will visit Bar Vitelli, which looks exactly as it did in the movie, and see the spot where Al Pacino informed Apollonia’s father of his identity as Michael Corleone, stating, “there are people who’d pay a lot of money for that information, but then your daughter would lose a father instead of gaining a husband.”
Then, you will walk to the ancient church of Santa Lucia, where Michael and Apollonia were married, kneeling in the doorway. Follow the same path down the hill as the newlyweds did, and visit another old church dating back to the 13th century. Strolling along the fabulous streets of Savoca, the tour concludes at the square where the wedding party took place, and Michael danced with Apollonia.
Forza d’Agro - The tour continues in Forza d’Agro, another stunning hilltop town with a “Godfather” connection. You will walk the abandoned streets (“Where have all men gone?” - “They’re dead from vendettas”), explore the historic square, see pictures from the movie, visit ancient churches, and see the square where young Vito Andolini (later Vito Corleone) escaped from Don Ciccio’s men hidden in a basket on a donkey’s back, and the house where Vito Andolini was born. Walk up to see the remains of a 12th-century Norman castle, admire the delightful panoramic view of the Ionian coastline, and experience the unchanged Sicilian pastoral lifestyle.
Then, enjoy lunch in a traditional “Trattoria.”
Private Walking Tour of Ortigia Island and Neapolis Park Visit with Lunch
Isola di Ortigia - Departing from Taormina, you will arrive in Syracuse in two hours. After placing your luggage in the hotel and enjoying an hour of relaxation, lunch will be served in a typical Sicilian restaurant. Following lunch, a local licensed tour guide will lead you to discover the island of Ortigia, the historic center of Syracuse, one of the most beautiful and ancient places in the world. During the 2-hour private walking tour of Ortigia, you will see the Greek Apollo Temple, the Cathedral Square - a world heritage site with its bright limestone buildings, the Cathedral - the most important baroque monument in Sicily, Palazzo Beneventano - formerly a site for the city’s senate, and St. Lucy Church - a Norman monument of the 15th century dedicated to the patron saint of Syracuse. The tour then continues to Arethusa Fountain.
Parco Archeologico della Neapolis - After the walking tour of Ortigia, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the impressive Neapolis Archaeological Park with your personal guide. Enjoy a free evening in the picturesque city of Syracuse. The tour concludes with a traditional lunch.
Noto “The Baroque Capital of Sicily”
Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto - After breakfast at the hotel, today’s visit is to Noto (a UNESCO Heritage site). At 10 am, meet your private licensed guide in front of the hotel and proceed to scenic Noto, one of Italy’s most beautiful cities with a fascinating, sometimes tragic, history. Enter the historic center of Noto through the “Royal Gate” Porta Reale, and begin your private walking tour. With your guide explaining the history, culture, and lifestyle of Noto, you will see important monuments, beautiful ancient churches, and other stunning sights. The tour concludes with a traditional lunch in the historic center of Noto.
Ragusa: UNESCO World Heritage and Modica, the Capital of Sicilian Chocolate
Ragusa Ibla - After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Syracuse and embark on a two-hour journey to the city of Ragusa. The walking tour of Ragusa begins with a local guide. Ragusa is a UNESCO World Heritage site, “representing the culmination and final flowering of Baroque art in Europe.” The city is divided into two towns: Ragusa Ibla (lower old town) and Ragusa Superiore (upper town). In Ibla, you will discover many baroque buildings, such as the Duomo di San Giorgio, a grand church with paintings and stained-glass windows, and other important monuments. At the end of the tour, your guide will show you the art workshop, where the owner will explain how the characteristic “Sicilian Carts” were once built and painted. Then, enjoy lunch in a Sicilian “Trattoria.”
Modica - After lunch, you will be transported to Modica, an attractive historic town in southeastern Sicily, one of the area’s UNESCO-listed Baroque towns. Modica is a large and bustling, authentically Sicilian town with a feudal identity, “the country of Modica,” from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century. In this easy walking tour with your private licensed guide, you will visit a remarkable number of impressive churches, including two grand Baroque cathedrals: the Duomo di San Pietro and the Duomo of San Giorgio. Modica is famous worldwide for its chocolate. During the tour, you will visit the chocolate museum with tastings. The tour concludes with lunch in a traditional restaurant.
