This was the experience we wanted - great views especially ok if you have limited walking ability - Met all our expectations. Easy parking (free). Short walk to cable car, then 4x4 esperience was well organised, short trek was great for getting good views fortunately we had good clear weather. It was a little difficult to get our tickets, queues had just started and it was not clear where we collected them from (not the normal ticket window) but an office at the rear of ticket hut.

Astonishing views... once you leave the chaos of ticketing/queing behind... - Great experience! The views are breathtaking and the information provided by the guide were extensive. And in in english too! :) However there is no skip of the line at the cable car nor at the bus. And you have to change the online trip advisor ticket with their ticket.

Worth the expense and time - The cable car was a great place to start and thearea around the craters mind blowing, but leave yourself plenty of time to reach the starting / meeting point very near Refuggio Sapienza.. not Etna Nord!!

Nice - Cable car was ok. The windows could do with a clean. There were no queues. Quite straight forward. You have to pay for toilets so be prepared. Etna is beautiful but I wish we had paid for a trip further up. All very expensive but once in a lifetime experience so worth it.

Meh . . . - I don't feel the cost of $55 euros is a good value. If you have ever taken a cable car ride before for other view vantage points you will be disappointe in this one. The base village is at 1900 meters and you ride up to 2500 meters. When you get there, there is just black gravel like land and small hills---really boring. The views are fine except it is hazy so hard to make out much. The best part of this visit is the souvenir shops at the base village (about 10 of them) are very good and inexpensive.

Helpful staff but minimal communication beforehand - Couldn’t ride cable cars due to a recent eruption despite travelling all the way there. No email telling us it was called off as they were still debating whether they could reopen the cars whilst we were there. Staff were very helpful though and helping us get refunded on everything. Should’ve checked the news the morning of and still had a lot of fun at the 1900m marker but an email would’ve been nice updating us on everything going on.

Beautiful but a lot of lost time and patience! - We booked the full tour: funicular, 4x4 truck and guide The QR code sent was only for the funicular. One hour on the phone to fix the problem. It is better to buy tickets directly on site!!!
