Try it!! - Interesting visit , if you are curious to see Etna up close I highly recommend this experience. Forest craters really leave you speechless. I would also recommend Alessandro, our Driver/Guide in this adventure. Friendly and helpful guy!

Tour of Catania with Alfio - My review is for our accompanying driver Alfio, who was super kind, prepared, humble and competent like few others. If you do this tour ask for him, he is the best.

I definitely recommend! - My 6 year old daughter and I did 4 tours in 5 days with them and had a great time. They are all very professional and kind. in particular Marco, who accompanied us both to Etna and to Acitrezza, is truly TOP. Kind and thoughtful, attentive to every detail, and thanks to his advice we had a great time, in fact in the end we did all the tours they offered (train to Catania; Acitrezza and Acicastello; Etna; train to Etna). I definitely recommend!

Good experience - Even though we are from Catania, we decided to try this experience in total relaxation, sitting comfortably without driving you appreciate and observe things differently. fortunately we ended up with Alfio, who is not only the bus driver but puts a lot of himself into what he does. nice, generous and approachable. We suggest!

Unforgettable.... Alfio - When taking this tourist bus to visit the city of Catania, we met Alfio, who recommended the tour to visit Etna, which we did the next day and in which Alfio was a precious resource. The welcome of the Sicilians with Alfio is raised to the nth degree... He guided us in visiting the major craters of Etna, he made us savor the majesty and beauty of this always active volcano. The power of nature in rebirth where lava seems only devastation is explosive in these places. I highly recommend tours with these guys, because they give something more to the mere trip... They give an experience... Unique.

Nice experience - We were septic at first and in the end we had a great time! We also had a good driver who was very friendly: Alexandro! French was offered in the languages of the audio guide inside the bus.

SIGHTSEEING TOUR CATANIA ACICASTELLO ACITREZZA - Very good experience, the staff, Alfio and Marco, showed a lot of availability and competence, tourist hospitality and above all I felt at ease. I definitely recommend it.

A good way to see Etna! - I am quite surprised there are so many negative reviews. The night before the trip I looked at the leaflet and only then did I realise it was an open top bus. Today was 42 degrees so this massively worried me as travelling with a 2 year old and 6 year old. Anyway, turned out to be fine as they put a roof on for shade! Yay! The bus journey was smooth. Driver was lovely… he doubled and triple checked we had everyone before we left Etna and one lady was a late returner! We stopped twice on route to Etna for pictures and for a drink/wee stop. The only reason I give 4 stars not 5 is that it is only when we arrived that we realised once there for a 3 hour stop ultimately you do need to purchase some sort of add on tour. The cable car is 50 euros per person, the cable car mini bus tour was 87 euros a person and then the Etna train tour is 10 euros each. I am gonna be honest with 2 kids we did go budget and I am actually glad we did as the train tour got a thumbs up from both kids and us but once I had paid the 95 euros for the bus I hadn’t expected to then have to pay lots more. Overall we had a super day and I would recommend the trip. Commentary in all languages on bus too and free headphones to listen.

Mount Etna bus panorama - What a great trip, the bus drivers are amazing travelling those roads and so narrow. Amazing. The drivers were very professional and made sure everyone was safe at all times. We travelled through some littles towns on the way to Mount Etna. What a miracle and saddening the damage the eruption did. Seeing an old church nothing left but the cross and the roof. As we travelled up the 2000 m it got colder be mindful even if it is beautiful bring a windbreaker or a sweater it go very cold. Lots of souvenir shops to choose from. You can go quadding or take a little train around for 1 hour. There is trekking hiking as well or go on your own and there is a chair lift.

Etna, no buses, choose rental cars - I had chosen this trip because there were 3 free hours and I planned to go up with the cable car and then continue with the Etna Cable Car off-road vehicle. The driver confirms this possibility but when we arrive at 1.30pm he tells us that either we take the cable car straight away or we don't, given that the cable car excursion plus off-road vehicle lasts 2 hours. The math doesn't add up, given that we have 3 hours available, and I tell him so, to which he says that we have to hurry anyway. I hurry to eat something in half an hour (given the time I'm hungry and I don't want to postpone lunch until 4pm!), but then at the ticket office, 2pm, they tell me that I can only take the cable car because the last excursion with the off-road vehicle they do it at 1.45pm. There are two criticisms: the driver could have been clearer in explaining the reasons for the urgency. But above all, the service seems to be organized specifically to prevent or make the off-road tour uncomfortable. Why leave only at 11.30 (note that there is a competing company, but that also leaves the bus at the same time!)? Why waste time in two useless stops in Nicolosi and at a curve from which you can see a hut destroyed by lava, as well as a souvenir stall? Tip: if you go to Catania without a car, rent one to go to Etna, and forget about the buses. Rifugio Sapienza, from where the cable car departs, can also be easily reached with a Panda
