Go for Tyler as guide if you can! - We had Tyler as our guide, who was beyond amazing! Super funny, knowledgable and kind throughout the journey! And the trip was very well planned. First we had a little sightseeing around the mountains in the sea. Then we headed for a kayaking trip to check out the caves which was followed by lunch. After that we had a bit of free time when we could swim and chill a bit, and at the end of the day we headed to the marine research centre and got to learn about all the fish there. We ended the day with a bit of snack in the sunset.

A perfect day! - This tour was one of the best parts of our trip. We got to spend the whole day admiring the stunning scenery of Lan Ha bay. There was a good balance between the activities (kayaking, swimming, visiting the marine research center) and relaxing time (coasting through the bay, having lunch, seeing the floating fishing villages). Our tour guide Tyler was the best!! He took really good care of us and was so kind, knowledgeable, and fun. We were even lucky enough to see a family of langurs! It was honestly a perfect day.

Lovely Spot for Natural Beauty and Relaxation! - The boat trip was absolutely wonderful! Our tour leader, Tyler, was very hospitable and had a great sense of humour. He did a really good job at ensuring a great time for us all! Lan Ha Bay was such a quiet spot filled with natural beauty and very few tourists - perfect for a day of relaxation and taking in the stunning views. Coffee was also on point - thanks Toni!

Fun day at Lan Ha bay - We had an incredible tour in Cát Bà, Vietnam, and I’d strongly recommend it to everyone, it was perfect! The tour started with a pick-up directly from our hotel, and they were super punctual (rare and appreciated!). Our guide, Tom, was so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We started by hopping into the boat, the move up to our first stop: kayaking. We spent about 1.5 hours exploring caves, and it felt so free and relaxed—we could paddle at our own pace. Tom gave us great tips to help us kayak more smoothly. It was such a unique and fun way to see the area. Lunch on the boat was fantastic. Everything was freshly cooked onboard, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, and the flavors were spot on—flavorful but not overly spicy (which I loved). They also offered cocktails for purchase, which was a nice touch. The highlight for us was the 1.5 hours of free time after lunch. We swam to a secluded beach and Tom gave us a private tour of the beach via a secret tunnel. It was such a magical experience, capped off by meeting a local fisherman who showed us his sea cucumbers (and yes, we took some hilarious photos with them). Definitely a memory for life! Later, we visited a fishing village and got to see some impressively large fish. To top it all off, we learned how to make spring rolls onboard (unexpected but so fun), and then enjoyed the most beautiful sunset on the ride back. Honestly, this tour exceeded all expectations. It was adventurous but not rushed, with the right balance of planned activities and downtime. I couldn’t recommend it enough! 😍

Vietnam Boatscape - The experience was good. But those that took the boat ride to the caves were disappointed as the boatman took them only a short distance and brought them back. Tom, the tour guide was good.
