Pleasant Experience at Estancia Hotel and Spa - My wife and I stayed at Estancia La Jolla on August 7-9. We were highly impressed by the wonderful ambience of the hotel and spa, its cleanliness, and the proficiency of the staff. We were most impressed by Enrique and his teammate. My wife and I have been traveling around the world for more than four decades and therefore speak from experience. We had numerous interactions with Enrique's team, and walked away from every single interaction totally satisfied. He was always courteous, professional, and pleasant.

Eat good, do good - My friend and I had a most enjoyable lunch at The Rising Strong cafe yesterday. We had a lovely conversation with Claire who was waiting our table. She was so engaging and helpful and told us all about the wonderful work this cafe does to support people like her, recovering from addiction. I was delighted to learn this, because I now know that my custom helps to do some good in the world, providing a much needed lifeline for people who are willing to work hard and want to turn their lives around. Highly recommend and thank you for the important work you are doing.

A Perfect Coastal Retreat: Exceptional Stay at Coastal Haven Hotel - I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Coastal Haven Hotel, and my experience was nothing short of fantastic. Nice stay - My husband and I enjoyed staying at the Ramada very much. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Pakistani food, prepared by Chef Fareed was very tasty. He made all types of flat breads and omelette right in front of us upon request. There also was a Western selection of food for the less adventurous. The environment was very pretty and we especially loved the hospitality of the staff.

The highlight of our stay in Lecce! - Stefano is a warm, gregarious man who welcomed us to his home, and really got to know each of us as he wove his story into the conversation. He cooked a fabulous lunch as we learned of Lecce and southern Puglia, its’ treasures, and the unique passions the region inspires. He has great depth of knowledge of regional wines and pairs them beautifully with his dishes. I cannot imagine a better interlude to enrich our visit, and we highly recommend lunch or dinner with Stefano!

Drivalia - This is my message to Booking.com: I had a really bad time with Drivalia. I landed at Gatwick North Terminal on August 2nd 2024 and went to the Drivalia office to pick up my hire-car. The two-man team were very unhelpful. One old man told me to wait for his colleague who arrived about ten minutes later, and he said "Your car's gone." I asked him what he meant, and he said they'd rented out the car I had paid for to another driver! I paid the company £242.01 for nothing. I then asked if I could hire another car - I was very tired after a long flight from Shanghai - and the men said they didn't have any cars available. This company should not have given away my car to another customer after I paid for it. It's a basic failure. Just an awful end to a long journey. One of the pair said I could try "one of the big boys" for a hire-car after telling me he'd given away my car. I went to Sixt after that and they sorted me out. This is Booking.com's answer: Thank you for getting in touch about your booking with Drivalia in London, booking number 798022256, due to finish on 2024-08-16 21:00:00. We're sorry to hear you weren't able to pick up your hire car. Drivalia did have the car ready for you at the time you wanted. Unfortunately, because we didn't know that you weren't going to pick the car up, we cannot give you a refund. The Ts&Cs for every car on our site explain that there are no refunds for cancelling after the arranged pick-up time. You will also find a link to your booking's Ts&Cs on your voucher. We're sorry you couldn't enjoy your rental this time, and we do hope that your experience hasn't put you off. I arrived the day after on 2 Aug 2024. You had my flight number on my booking form (MU202) so you should not have given away my booked car to another customer. Bad reputations with this staffs - I had went there for a vacation with my family, there was one of the servant who has behaved with me very badly and he hasn't considered I had came with my family, and the food was also very bad quality, after sometimes i had been discussed with my family and went off from there

Discusting services - it was terrible experience at Trendy Lara in insltmbul hotel , I booked the room for my wife and myself, but when arrived in pick time of high season they wanted to pay extra for my wife I show the corresponding with booking.com that was written both our names but the rude reception not wanted to accepted I asked to talk with Superwiser or manger they refused, I asked for refund the money which was $4250 they did not do it, I call every hotel to book a room but all were booked because of high season, unfortunately there was not any choice to pay extra $1555 and they gave me the room which was dusty and air-condition was not working, I do not recommend this hotel and booking .com that after sale not have any customer services

Non genuine spirits at Adiss Abba International Airport's Duty-Free shop - We were a group of friends enroute from Mumbai to Madrid on Ethiopian Airlines and had a stopover at Addis Abba. Whilst awaiting to take the second leg of our flight to Madrid, a few of us decided to buy some liquor from the Duty-Free shop. I purchased a bottle of Glenlivet Founders Reserve Single Malt and a Johnny Walker Black Label Scotch, both 1 liter in size from Nurhussen Yassin Omer outlet. To my utter horror, both these bottles turned out to contain purportedly non genuine whiskies. As a regular drinker of whiskies, I am very well aware of their tastes. This was corroborated by my fellow travelers who all shared their drinks amongst a few of us. Others had purchased bottles of Singleton Single Malt - 12 years, Johnny Walker Black Label Scotch and Absolut Vodka from the same outlet, Shockingly, all these bottles also had non genuine spirits in them. Can the authorities seriously look into this and take corrective measures to ensure that unsuspecting travelers are not duped in this manner?
