The tour begins at the terminal of the port of Messina, where the driver will meet you at your ship’s gate. In just 45 minutes, the journey will take you to Castelmola, a charming town in the Sicilian region, located a few kilometers from Taormina. Nestled on a hill approximately 530 meters above sea level, it provides stunning panoramic views of the Ionian coast and Mount Etna. After spending about an hour exploring the village’s attractions, the tour will proceed to Taormina. Here, you will have 2 hours of free time to explore one of Sicily’s most beautiful and distinctive cities. Following this, there will be a brief stop at one of Taormina’s most scenic viewpoints, offering the perfect opportunity for unforgettable photos. On the return to Messina, there will be a visit to the Sanctuary of Christ the King and the cathedral, renowned for its bell tower, which houses the largest and most intricate mechanical and astronomical clock in the world. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be escorted back to your ship’s gate.
