The flowering period for these lavender fields is seasonal (May 15 - July 15)

- The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions

A day full of great... - A day full of great experiences. Experienced a lot of nature, even seen a lavender field, although the harvest had already taken place. Our guide Jaba took great care of our well-being. The trip is highly recommended.

Exciting experience - Good guide, but he drove way too fast and challenged. We got a fantastic display and more than expected. However, disappointed that the lavender fields were already harvested.

Good trip - The trip was good - especially the bootride in the end (although that was on our own expense and not included in the price).
It’s a long drive though and you could not hear the drivers information about the scenery in the back. But all together I would recommend going there because the scenery is amazing.

Poor Experience - Unfortunately the driver was sick and did not appear to be comfortable speaking English,
which was the entire group. At the start he notified us that he would not be answering any questions during the trip due to the drive being into the mountains.
But even on level surface driving into the different stops he spoke no more than 5 sentences of information except what time we needed to return to the van. I would have given this tour ZERO stars except he found one of the few remaining patches of lavender.
This was the consensus of other passengers
as well. It’s one thing when the driver and group don’t communicate, but then have a guide or alt a minimum written or electronic
access to the highlights of the 6+ hr trip.
Viator, I would expect better from you.

Worst excursion ever. - The trip touted at 9 hours took us just over 11 hours. Over 8 of those hours were in a car driven by what I can only describe as a young man possessed by speed. Just because you can drive faster than everyone else does not make you a good driver. We all held on for dear life as we thrashed in to the doors and each other.
We stopped three times for 5 minutes to take a few quick pics. We stopped in a small town for lunch for an hour and ten minutes to eat with no time to explore. We stopped in the gorge for an hour and ten minutes long enough to take a short boat ride then back in the car. The lavender fields were bare so nothing to see there.
This was by far the worst excursion I have ever endured and the description of the tour is complety misleading.

I didn't go to the valensole plateau. - We applied for a tour with the aim of going to the valensole plateau. The time schedule suggested we go firmly to the valensole plateau, but we were actually taken to a different small lavender field.
