Marrakech - Upon arrival at either Casablanca or Menara Airport in Marrakech, a guide will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel for check-in. Known as the “Pearl of the South,” this extraordinary city was established in the 11th century by the Almoravides Dynasty and is located where the desert meets the mountains.
Marrakech City Tour
Marrakech - Today’s tour includes visits to the Saadian tombs, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Majorelle Gardens, and the city’s centerpiece: the 12th-century Koutoubia Minaret. After lunch, there will be an opportunity to explore the vibrant souks, a labyrinth of alleyways and colorful shops, and finally, the Djemaa El Fna Square, where snake charmers, acrobats, and fortune tellers provide endless entertainment. Dinner and accommodations will be at the hotel.
Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Overnight in Ouarzazate
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Depart for Ouarzazate via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m). Discover a stunning region characterized by its magnificent landscapes dominated by Berber villages and their farms. Before reaching Ouarzazate, stop at Ait Benhaddou for lunch and then visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou (a UNESCO World Heritage site) before continuing to Ouarzazate, “The Hollywood of Africa,” where you will visit the Atlas Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Conclude the day with dinner and accommodations at your hotel.
Ouarzazate - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga
Merzouga Desert - In the morning, depart for the dunes of Merzouga, one of the most enchanting southern regions, featuring a dry, red desert belt that suddenly drops into the lush Ziz Valley, with abundant date palm groves and flowing streams. Travel through the Dadès Valley, where in spring, thousands of Persian roses bloom, filling the air with their delightful fragrance. Witness the numerous Kasbahs along the Dadès River, majestic sandcastles with timeless beauty. Just 15 kilometers from Tinghir, discover the Todra Gorges, the region’s highest and narrowest gorges. After lunch, continue to Erfoud, from where a 4x4 will take you to the Dunes of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Merzouga.
Merzouga - Fes
Fes - Early morning is dedicated to a camel ride to witness the sunrise, followed by breakfast at the Kasbah. Depart in the morning for Fes, stopping in Midelt for lunch while enjoying the dramatic scenery: the Middle Atlas gives way to the High Atlas Mountains, with peaks soaring over 12,000 feet. Continue the journey, exploring the rural surroundings of the Atlas Mountains’ Berbers. Covered with evergreen pines, tall cedar trees, and poplars, and interlaced with flowing streams, the Middle Atlas appears surprisingly un-Moroccan. Pass through Azrou, a key market center for the region’s Berber tribes, located at a major mountain route junction. Continue traveling until reaching Fes, where the day concludes with dinner and accommodations at your hotel.
Fes City Tour
Fes el-Bali - After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of the medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities. The tour begins at the royal palace gates, then proceeds to a panoramic view of the old Medina, near the Saadian Fortress. Enter the old medina through the famous Boujloud (blue gate) and visit Merdersa Bou Inania and Mosque Abou El Hassan. Explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices (Attarine Souk), intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other Moroccan art objects. Visit the Nejjarine Fountain, then the tanneries and potters. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch, complete the tour by visiting Kairaouine Mosque and Moulay Idriss II mausoleum, then return to the hotel for the evening.
Fes - Meknes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen
Volubilis - Travel to Meknes on an excursion that highlights a significant part of Morocco’s early history. Journey through Moulay Idris, founded by the country’s first Arab dynasty, and then through Volubilis, Morocco’s Roman provincial capital. Continue to Chefchaouen, where lunch will be provided, and explore the “Blue Pearl” of Morocco, a stunning blue and white-washed Andalusian town nestled in the Rif Mountains. The town is relaxed, with winding alleyways and market squares where local women sell handmade products. Conclude the day with dinner and accommodations at your hotel.
Chefchaouen - Rabat
Rabat - After breakfast, travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Designed in a spacious European grid, yet slightly self-conscious of its modernity, Rabat boasts an ancient legacy spanning hundreds of generations. Each civilization that has inhabited the city has left its mark, resulting in a diverse array of architectural styles, including those from the Phoenician and Roman eras.
Rabat - Casablanca
Casablanca - This morning is dedicated to exploring Morocco’s economic capital, including the Hassan Mosque. The afternoon is at leisure.
Casablanca - Home
Casablanca - Early morning transfer to Mohamed V Airport or Menara Airport for your connecting flight home, concluding a memorable trip of a lifetime.
