A great day trip from Casablanca! VERY ORGANIZED ⭐️ - Solo female traveler here! It was a mini group tour, but ended up having a private your. Great full day trip from Casablanca. I am very satisfied—everyone went above and beyond. Chefchaouen was very pretty! SHOUTOUT TO CHAUFFEURS - Redouan Tang & Mohammed Khiar. They both were very punctual and had timely communication via Whatsapp. Khiar was very accommodating and was able to drop me off a restaurant near my hotel so I can have a late dinner. Redouan told me info regarding scenic spots/buildings that we passed by during the long drive from Tanger Station to the Blue City. SHOUTOUT TO MY TOUR GUIDE - Mohammed! He’s very professional and friendly. He’s truly a local, so I learned a lot regarding life in the Blue City and its history. He initiates to take pictures of me and very reassuring regarding not being forced to buy anything. Lunch was good at Riad Hicham. I had Moroccan soup and Meatball Tagine and flan! Delicious. I was sitting at the balcony overlooking the mountains and Alkasaba castle. Drink not included-but it’s only 15 dirhams. Just be advised that the bullet train ride is 2 hours (comfortable seats and a great experience!) and the ride to Tanger Station to Chefchaouen is about the same-but the scenic views and the stop over at the lake made it worth it! Will definitely recommend this trip! 10/10 🤩⭐️

See the Blue City with a Professional Tour operator - If wish to see Chefchaouen on a 14 hr day trip, it’s best to spend the money and do a private excursion. It’s less stressful with all logistics taken care of and most importantly your time is yours only. This is extremely important because there’s only remaining 2-3 hrs maximum to walk the city which is quite sufficient. But not much time to stop browse and shop. Perhaps lunch could be excluded to lessen the cost and more importantly allow more time to do and see more. Catered lunch at restaurant costs us valuable time because of the 3-course meal, serving and waiting time and busy waiting staff. Kudos to the customer service hotline. Extremely professional, prompt in response to queries and reliable.

Morocco’s Best Kept Secret - We took a day trip to Chefchaouen from Casablanca and were very pleased we did. The trip consisted of being picked up from our hotel in Casablanca, then high speed rail (TGV) tickets to Tanger. From there we were driven the Chefchaouen to connect with our guide (Mohammed) before being handed back to our driver to take us back to Tanger for the return train to Casablanca and hotel drop off. While this trip involved multiple drivers and a guide all handing off to each other, it went smoothly and without a hitch. Moroccan lunch was included at Chefchaouen (delicious) and we stopped for Moroccan tea along the way (drinks not included). Our guide was a local from Chefchaouen. He was informative and warmly engaging. Chefchaouen is famous for being the “blue city”. As such it is visually spectacular and well worth the time and effort to get here. The trip itself was not cheap, but we were a small group (3 of us) so economies of scale presumably do not apply here.

Tour was great, travel mates not so much - First, the positives. The travel experience from the hotel to the train, to the van in Tangier, to Chefchaouen, and back was seamless. The drivers were all on time, some contacted us with WhatsApp to let us know where they were, and were very pleasant. The high speed train was fun. Also, our tour guide Mohamed was great. He grew up there and gave us the history of the town and navigated around crowds to show us the great spots. Highly recommend him. Also the scenery driving over the mountains was beautiful. It was very green, which was unlike the other areas of the country that we had been to. For the not so positives, we chose to do a small group tour instead of a private tour, which was a mistake. I thought it would be fun to go around with a couple of other people and the price of doing a small group was considerably less. However, the other people in the group were not fun and dragged us down so that we didn't see nearly as much as we could of. Two women stopped to take pictures of each other in front of every blue wall that they saw (and as you know, there are lots of blue walls in Chefchaouen). They spent a ton of time in shops, and all that made us late to the restaurant and service was slow. It was unbelievably frustrating. I would have rather paid the money for a private tour, so keep that in mind when you book your trip. The other thing is that if you even think that you might have motion sickness, take something before you get into the van. You are driving over the Rif mountains and the road is switchbacks for miles. There is also some road construction which means the road isn't always smooth. One of the women in our van (one of the ones taking all the selfies and pictures in front of every blue wall) vomited all over the back seat. Luckily we pulled over in a great little spot with grazing sheep and a rainbow while the others cleaned up the van. Overall, I recommend this tour and I'm sure many people have had great travel mates in the small group, but I really wished we had just paid the extra money.

Solo Adventure - From picking me up from my Airbnb to returning me home safely 12hrs later, everything was great. Very well organized and easy to reach out to anyone on WhatsApp. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Took lots of beautiful pictures and videos. Wasn’t a big fan of the lunch but nothing too shabby. Hazim was very friendly during his tour of Chefchaouen. Most of the 12hrs tour is really going and coming back which is like 8hrs in total but if you’re a phone addict like me or like talking to friends and family on the road, it won’t feel like it. Also the scenery to and fro is great!

A must do... - What a day! Started by catching the train and ended with the train back. The guide from Chefchaouen was knowledgeable and friendly. Lunch with the view of the mountains was astounding. Note that it might not be a good activity if you can't walk up and down a lot of steps or navigate a train station.

The best drive and service. - Houmaiza Ider is one of the most accommodating person we found on our trip to Morocco. He has understood our needs and also provided key recommendations that made a difference. Definitely recommend him. By the end of it, he felt like family.

Chefchaouen day tour from Casablanca - The trip started with a pick-up at our hotel and high speed train ride that took 2 hours. The trip description DID NOT include the 2 hour car rides to/from Chefchaouen and the train station. That left about 3+ hours to tour Chefchaouen which was beautiful! All in all the tour was great but the Viatour description should include the total travel time of 8+ hours from Casablanca. The guide was excellent and his command of English was good and very understandable. We highly recommend Mohammad for future tours.
