An experience to remember - Mohammed, the owner of Tilila Travel is professional, personable and trustworthy. He contacted me almost immediately when I signed for this 9-days with Aviator. He forwarded the list of hotels/riads we will be staying and offered us a choice to upgrade we prefer. We decided to go with the suggested hotels/riads and did not regret our decision. The choices of hotels riads were nice, breakfast and dinners were very good overall. The only experience was a disappointment is the spa/massage in It was recommended to us by Riad Dar Nadwa (the Riad we stayed in) It was unprofessional and the spa facility is very poor.
We had Fatah as our driver, and he made every effort in making our journey fun and enjoyable. He even invited us to his family house to celebrate the Muslim new year. Seeing how the Morrocons live and culture was an experience - an added bonus to our trip. Fatah is a safe driver. Our guide Almal in Fes was amazing. She is very knowledgeable and knows just about everybody in the Medina. She made the tour very fun! I highly recommend using Tilila for your travels in Morroco. Thank you to Mohammed and Fatah for the great experience!!

Great experience in Morocco with Tilila Travel - We normally prefer to explore overseas destinations on our own, but for Morocco we decided that it would be less stressful to have a tour company take care of us and we are definitely glad we did! We just came back from a 7-day/6-night tour of Morocco arranged by Rough Guides through a local tour company called Tilila Travel. Overall it was a great experience. It was good value, the tour company and driver assigned to us were honest, trustworthy and responsive, and the hotels and local day guides that they arranged for us were all good recommendations. The tour company assigned us a driver named Tawfiq for the entire duration of the trip. Tawfiq is a terrific asset to the company. He is a safe and thoughtful driver and we felt safe in his care. Also, although he was not a formal guide he knew a lot about the places we visited and shared many interesting and useful insights about Morocco. Tawfiq also made sure to call ahead and ensure the hotels could meet us on arrival (which sometimes required a porter to carry our bags uphill or down very confusing alleyways in the old city), as well as meeting and handing us off to local guides. Tawfiq was available on WhatsApp (for Americans, it is a helpful texting/phone app overseas), so we had no problems arranging daily logistics for pickup, etc.
We didn't have enough time for the full 9-day tour, so the tour company was very helpful in helping us modify their initial "best of" recommended itinerary to match our flights and preferences. Our tour started in Tangier where we were picked up at the airport, and continued over 7 days to Chefchaouen, Volabilis, Meknes, Fes, Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakesh, and included drop off at our departure airport at Marrakesh. I would note that we did most of our communications arranging our trip directly with Mohamed, the owner of the tour company. Because of the time we had and the way the different cities are laid out, our itinerary did make for some long drives which they thoughtfully broke up into 1-3 hour segments. Our driver Tawfiq was very helpful planning rest stops and meals along the way, and you should not be shy about letting your driver know if you need to take a break. The hotels that they arranged for us were all quite good, clean with helpful service and good-to-decent breakfasts. I guess there is always a fear of getting sick but we were pretty lucky and no one had any digestive problems even though we ate out almost every day at local restaurants outside our hotels.
The tour company also arranged for local licensed guides with expertise in specific locales. These local guides covered a full day in Fes, a half-day in Marrakesh, and 1 hour in Volabilis (ancient Roman ruins) and 2 hours in Meknes. You do not need to pay these guides separately, but it is customary to give them a tip. The guides were generally pretty good (special mention for Amal in Fes), but you should not be shy if you need them to slow down or speak more clearly. One point I think worth mentioning is that in the bigger cities, the guides included stops at various shops, including shops selling berber rugs, leather goods and ceramics. I have been on trips (e.g., Venice) where you find yourself in high-pressure sale situations. This is not that. These stops give you a view into the local culture and economy, and if you are interested, a chance to buy from respectable sellers. If you really do not want to be taken to any shops or merchants, you should say so, or ask your guide if you need help (although normally the guides will sit outside the shop and let you shop at leisure).
Our fees included an English-speaking driver and large van, rooms each night at a 4- or 5-star riad-style hotel, breakfast was inclusive. The expense also included hiring the local guides. The price quoted by the travel company was the actual full price. No hidden fees or taxes, etc. You will need to pay for your own meals and drinks outside breakfast, entry fees into any sites, and tips.

You can use Tilila travel with confidence it will be a great trip - This is an extremely reliable agency. Mohammed who is the executive in charge was
a pleasure. Our trip went off without a hitch. We adapted some of the original plans before we left. Mohammed made some further changes on the itinerary when we were in Morocco with out any further charge and with graciousness not usually seen. Our driver Yassin was a perfect gentleman.....A pleasure too be with and well informed. His English was perfect and his patience appreciated. The trip from Casablanca in one day trip to Fez while long ,was so worthwhile. Our day trip from Marrakesh to Essaouria and overnight in Ouarzazate were remarkable and well worth doing.
Morocco is indeed a pleasure . It has a constitution and king that inspires tranquility among its many religious and ethnic groups and it seems to be working well.

Go, go Morocco! - So much to see, not enough time
So much to do, not enough energy.
Kudos to our driver/guide Mustapha who drove us safely through the rain, flood and windstorm all of which added excitement to the adventure.

Best family trip to Morocco - We went to Morocco on a family trip, organized by Tilila Travel. It was beyond our expectations. We had a very good time during our trip and we visited many cities during a short period of time. Muhamed, out agent from Tilila, was very professional, organizing and customizing the tour based on our needs and budget. Although we traveled with young children (with the youngest only 4 years old), the level of details and timing of the tour, organized by Tilila, enabled us to visit around 9 major cities from Casablanca, to Tangier in the north, Fes, and Marrakesh, and many others. Our driver Walid, was amazing, and took care of us, driving through out the country, coordinating our stays in Riads and Hotels, and ensuring our safety, Thank you Walid.

Flexible and Accommodating - This tour has earned nothing but great reviews and Tilila travel certainly came through for my wife and me. Upon arrival in Casablanca we had an unexpected problem unrelated to the tour. Our driver, and now friend, Yassin, went out of his way to help us connect with the right people to resolve the matter. Our 9 day tour was completed as planned with a couple of changes in accommodation being required which Mohamed kindly took care of. We enjoyed the tour and the hospitality of Moroccan people, and had lots of laughs along the way.

9 Day Tour of Morocco with Tilila Travel & Khalid - This was a great tour from Tilila Tours and Mohammad was extremely helpful in helping us plan what we wanted to do including extra options like quad biking in the Sahara. Mohammad also helped us plan an extra day to our tour after we had already booked the 8 day one but we realized our flights would work better with an extra day. Our driver, Khalid, made our trip worthwhile - he was extremely friendly and helpful from the start. He was able to give us insights to Moroccan life from general information and also his own life experiences which elevated our time spent in the country. He even took us to see his hometown and invited us to tea with some members of his family, he was a great travel companion and made the longer drives between the locations enjoyable. You can tell Khalid loves his job and showing others his country - he helped us learn small phrases in Arabic and Berber depending where we were in the country which was both fun and useful when we were alone walking around the medinas! I (24F) was visiting Morocco with my boyfriend and after seeing some reviews on other sites for larger tour groups written by women, I was fearful of not feeling safe but I would recommend this group (and Khalid specifically) to anyone traveling, solo or in a group. I felt safe the entire time and was able to relax and enjoy my vacation which is a privilege I have not had in some other countries on similar type tours.

9 Day tour in July - We signed up for the 8 day tour and decided to add on an extra excursion a few days before departing making it into a 9 day tour total. This was our first time to Morocco and Africa as a whole and I must say this tour was incredibly culturally enlightening. I believe we were able to experience nearly everything Morocco had to offer. My two favorite places were Marrakesh and the Sahara Desert. Riding camels in the Sahara was something I had always wanted to do and getting the opportunity to was incredible. The Medina in Marrakesh was like nothing I had ever seen before. We also added on the extra activity of riding quad bikes in the desert which was fun and added on a day trip from Marrakesh to Ouzoud falls, both I highly recommend. Tilila Travels was helpful in accommodating all of our desires in planning this tour. Be prepared for some long days of driving.
The best part of our experience in Morocco had to be our driver Khalid. He was so so fun and friendly and it was obvious he enjoyed his job. Khalid is well known and has friends and connections in every city we went and was able to give us the best recommendations for restaurants and activities. He also warned us about what tourist scams we may encounter and how to be safe and avoid any problems. We loved learning from Khalid about Islamic and Moroccan culture and practices as he was very informative. I told him from the beginning how much I loved monkeys so he stopped and got out to feed them anytime he saw some on the side of a road or when we were walking somewhere. Khalid is the man!
Overall I cannot recommend this tour or Khalid enough as our trip was an experience of a lifetime and have made such good memories from it. Thank you Tilila Travel and Khalid!
