Following this, the journey continues to Rabat, the current capital of Morocco.
Rabat - En route, there will be a stop in Rabat, Morocco’s charming capital, to explore the iconic Hassan Tower and the historic Oudayas Kasbah, offering stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean. The majestic Mausoleum of Mohammed V will also be visited. The journey then continues to Chefchaouen, the enchanting Blue City, where guests will spend the night immersed in its picturesque streets and vibrant culture.
Chefchaouen sightseeing - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
Chefchaouen - Today, enjoy some leisure time in the morning to explore the enchanting Blue City of Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most picturesque destinations. Afterwards, the journey continues through the scenic Rif Mountains toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a fascinating site steeped in history.
Volubilis - Upon arriving at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a local guide will lead a fascinating historical walk through the site. Guests can explore the ancient ruins, marvel at the remarkable Roman architecture, and immerse themselves in the stories of this extraordinary archaeological treasure.
Meknes - After exploring the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the scenic drive continues toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s most fortified imperial cities. Along the way, there will be photo stops at the city’s highlights, including the famous Bab Mansour Gate, Lhdim Square, and the Sehrij Souani Reservoir. After discovering Meknes, the journey continues onward to Fes, where guests will spend the night.
Fes Sightseeing Escorted by Local Guide
Fes - Today, guests will enjoy a full-day exploration of the historic city of Fes with an experienced local guide. As they wander through the ancient streets of the Medina, it will feel like stepping back in time to a world of traditional charm and centuries-old heritage.
The tour includes a visit to the famous Blue Gate, Bab Boujloud, the grand entrance to the Medina, followed by the Quaraouine Mosque, one of the oldest universities in the world. Next, the Madrassa Bou Inania, a stunning theological college showcasing exquisite Moroccan architecture, will be explored.
The journey continues through the Medina Souks, the city’s oldest marketplace, where unique handcrafted goods and souvenirs can be discovered. Finally, the iconic Tanneries will be visited, where traditional leather-making techniques have remained unchanged for centuries.
At the end of the day, the guide will escort guests back to their Riad in Fes, where they can relax and reflect on the city’s rich culture and history.
Fes – Ifrane – Azrou forest – Merzouga desert:
Ifrane - Early in the morning, guests will be met at their Riad in Fes and set off for the Merzouga Desert. The first stop will be in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its clean streets, modern architecture, and well-manicured surroundings. Here, there will be a pause for a photo opportunity and to take in the picturesque scenery before continuing the journey toward the desert.
Azrou Cedar Forest - As the journey passes through the Azrou Forest, there will be a brief stop to meet the Barbary macaques, a native monkey species that inhabit the forest. This is a wonderful opportunity for photos and close encounters with nature. Afterwards, the journey continues, enjoying the scenic drive through the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains, with breathtaking landscapes unfolding along the way.
Erg Chebbi - Upon arriving at the Merzouga Desert, there will be a stop at a convenient meeting point where guests can refresh and use the facilities before heading to the camel meeting point. Here, the camel trekking adventure begins, crossing the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. For those who prefer not to ride a camel, a 4x4 vehicle is available to take them across the dunes.
During the trek, there will be a pause to witness the breathtaking sunset in the heart of the dunes, capturing unforgettable photos and memories. After sunset, the journey continues to a luxury desert camp, where guests will enjoy a delicious dinner followed by a live Berber music performance under the stars around a cozy fire.
Guests will spend the night in their own private tent, complete with a private bath and shower, experiencing the tranquility and magic of the desert.
Merzouga desert – Rissani – Todra Gorges –Dades Gorges.
Merzouga - After witnessing the sunrise from a dune near the camp, enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off. A 4x4 vehicle will take guests back across the Erg Chebbi dunes to the meeting point with the driver. Once reunited with the driver, the journey continues toward Rissani, a charming city rich in history and local culture.
Rissani - Upon arrival in Rissani, a city once known for its old Quranic school, guests will discover the largest local souk in the area, especially famous for dates. The market takes place three days a week; Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. If the visit coincides with a market day, there will be a stop to explore the vibrant souk, witnessing traditional trading practices and how locals spend and enjoy their market day.
Todgha Gorge - After exploring the Rissani market, the drive continues to the Todra Gorges, famous for its 300-meter-high canyon walls forming a magnificent gorge. A spring runs through the center, nourishing the scenic Todra palm tree oasis, creating a stunning natural landscape. After experiencing the gorges, the journey continues to the Dades Valley, where guests will spend the night in a traditional boutique Riad that beautifully showcases Moroccan and Berber architecture, offering an authentic and charming atmosphere.
Dades Gorges – Ait-Benhaddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech:
Dades Gorges - After breakfast, guests will continue to enjoy the last day of the tour. The first stop will be the picturesque Tissadrine viewpoint in the Dades Gorges, followed by a quick photo stop at the famous Monkey Toes rock formation. From there, the journey continues toward the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, passing through the Roses Valley and the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, taking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way.
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Upon arrival at Ksar Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage site, guests will be captivated by its ancient fortified walls, mud-brick architecture, and stunning panoramic views.
