CASABLANCA AIRPORT PICKUP
Casablanca - Upon your arrival, our driver will greet you at the airport and transport you to the city of Casablanca. The tour will commence with a visit to the stunning Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Morocco and the fifth largest globally.
The itinerary also includes a photo stop at Rick’s Cafe, reminiscent of the iconic bar featured in the classic film “Casablanca” starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.
Your final stop will be La Corniche, a popular destination for locals, especially during the summer. You can stroll along the corniche or enjoy a coffee with a view of the Atlantic Ocean.
After the tour, we will proceed to the hotel for check-in, and the remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy at leisure.
CASABLANCA TO RABAT TO CHEFCHAOUEN
Rabat - After breakfast in the morning, you will meet your guide and travel to Chefchaouen. The journey includes a stop in Rabat to explore city highlights such as the Oudaya Kasbah, Hassan Tower, and the King’s museums.
Chefchaouen - The trip continues to Chefchaouen, nestled in the vibrant center of the Rif Mountain’s agricultural region, accessible in under five scenic hours. Upon arrival, you will be directed to your hotel, and the rest of the day is yours to explore the enchanting blue hues. Wander through the medina’s white and blue-washed walls, a photographer’s paradise. The local markets offer unique and intriguing handicrafts.
CHEFCHAOUEN TO VOLUBILIS TO FES
FES MEDINA TOUR
Fes - The adventure begins with a visit to the ornate and vibrant Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish headquarters, and the first Mellah built in Morocco during the 16th century. From there, we will visit the tiles cooperative to learn about the craftsmanship behind Morocco’s intricate architecture and then enjoy a panoramic view over the entire Medina. The tour covers all cultural and historical sites, including the Tanneries, Mulay Idriss mausoleum, and the renowned Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the region.
FES TO THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS TO ZIZ VALLEY TO ERG CHEBBI
Ifrane - In the morning, we will pick you up from the Riad at the scheduled time. Our journey to the desert will take us through the picturesque slopes of the Middle Atlas Mountain Range.
Our first stop is Ifrane, a charming town known as ‘Little Switzerland.’ The alpine-style architecture, unusual in Morocco, gives this place the allure of a European ski resort and is a popular destination for skiers. Next, we will admire the beauty of the cedar forests in the Middle Atlas and look for the abundant Barbary Macaques as we drive through. Meeting them in the forest is an unforgettable experience. They travel in troops of 10 to 30 and are the only macaque species found outside of Asia, as well as the only primate north of the Sahara!
Middle Atlas - Continuing through this magnificent area to Midelt, located between North and South Morocco, we pass many mountain villages. We will have lunch in Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, originally a base for active mining in the area. Now, it has transformed into a thriving pastoral area surrounded by orchards. After lunch, we continue our journey towards the desert via the Ziz Valley. Errachidia, the capital of the Ziz Valley, is not only one of the largest oases in Africa but also a major date producer. We continue through the town of Erfoud, which was underwater millions of years ago, resulting in a rich variety of fossils. Known as ‘The Gate to the Sahara,’ it is one of the last stops before the Sahara. Our next destination is the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, where we will spend the night at a luxurious desert camp before venturing into the desert the following morning.
Erg Chebbi Tour
Erg Chebbi - We will explore the area in a 4×4 vehicle. The nomadic families we visit will welcome us with tea and perhaps offer a taste of bread baked in their makeshift oven, sharing their way of life. We will also visit the village of Khamlia, home to dark-skinned people, and enjoy their authentic Gnawa music and folk songs.
From there, we will drive to the Rissani market, which remains active today. It is unique as it is not a tourist souk but serves the local community.
After enjoying a traditional lunch in one of the village’s small restaurants, we will embark on a camel trek across the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun sets on the horizon, we ride our camels through the desert for another magical evening. As we settle into the camp and relax under a starry sky, our guides will prepare a fresh and delicious Berber dinner. Weather permitting, a campfire will be lit, and music can be enjoyed outdoors.
ERG CHEBBI TO TODRA GORGE TO DADES VALLEY
Tinghir - After breakfast, you can try sandboarding at our camp before our camels take us back to town. We then depart for the Dades Valley.
As we journey through the palm tree groves, we stop to visit an ancient underground irrigation system called Kheterra, which was used long ago to provide local farmers with fresh water. Although the water has dried up, the tunnel systems are still accessible.
We continue our journey, stopping for lunch at a restaurant in one of the Berber towns along the way.
Later, we reach the Todra Gorge, a breathtaking canyon in the High Atlas Mountains, the highlight of the second day. There will be time for a walk on the canyon floor, surrounded by spectacular cliffs on either side. We conclude the day in the Dades Valley, a wonderful destination overlooking a fertile valley with a mountain panorama beyond.
DADES VALLEY TO AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH TO MARRAKECH
Ait Ben Haddou - After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Marrakech. There are still many sites and attractions to explore on your final day before arriving in Marrakech. We will leave the Dades Valley for the Valley of the Roses. From there, we follow the road of a thousand Kasbahs, which cuts through the oasis of Skoura. We will stop in Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco, where you can visit a film studio. From there, we continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the highlight of the day. The Kasbah is a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous for being the location of film sets like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and many more. You can climb through the village to the top of the hill for breathtaking views. It is in this ancient desert village that we will have lunch. From there, we will drive via Tichka Pass to explore the stunning High Atlas Mountains. Many Berber villages can be found along this route.
Marrakech Medina tour
Marrakech - Enjoy a leisurely morning with a home-cooked breakfast before embarking on your exciting day. Our local guide will meet you for a tour of the cultural and historic highlights in the Medina: Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and Jemaa El Fna, the bustling center at the heart of Marrakech. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, we’ll stroll through the vibrant souks and then drive to visit the serene and inspiring Jardin Majorelle and Yves Saint Laurent Mansion. The rest of the day will be yours to enjoy at leisure.
