Adalberto, you are the best of CTG! - Adalberto was tremendous. Absolutely encyclopedic, accessible and so enthusiastic about the history, the culture and the food of Cartagena. I am so grateful we were paired with him. I will recommend this tour and he, as a tour guide, to everyone I know visiting Cartagena. This is a must do tour.

Part of the family! - This was the highlight of our entire cruise. The guide was great. Our family spoke both English and Spanish and his language skills were very good! The places he took us, the local fruit he had us try, and our day spent was a complete pleasure. We learned a lot and really enjoyed his company. We felt safe and part of the family.

Just book it! You’ll love it! - Our tour guide was Señor Adalberto. He was such a wonderful guide! My boyfriend and I did this tour on the day after arriving in Cartagena. He communicated with us the day before to confirm the meeting point. We expressed our concern regarding money exchange and he was very helpful in finding us a decent place to exchange. It was also raining and he arranged for us to purchase umbrellas. He took us all around the walled city and shared its history in a very honest, enlightening, and educational manner. We also visited the local park with monkeys and sloths on our way to Getsemaní. There we appreciated the beautiful murals and graffiti and learned more about the barrio’s history. From there, we went to Bazurto where we experienced the local fish market in its essence. The food was marvelous! From there, we went back to the meeting point. My boyfriend and I were on a mission to visit the Gabriel Garcia Marquez exhibit at the University and he gave us directions and made it seamless for us to find our way there after our tour. Señor Adalberto is very well mannered, educated, and well spoken. We loved our tour with him and would repeat it if we ever come back to Cartagena. Don’t hesitate! Book your tour! You will love it!

Not as much of a food tour as we wanted, but a fun afternoon overall - The tour was fine, but the tour guide didn't mention anything about the market - we went and ate (the meal was good) but there was no information given which was unusual given the name of the tour. Also, there wasn't very much tasting/street food. We tried two things, walked around for long time, then drove to the market to eat. I think the tour could have been more focused on the street food, and more detail about the market given. Also the tour guide seemed to have specific vendors he wanted us to shop with. We had a good time, it was a nice experience and we felt safe in the market, but a few things could be improved! Also a bus to the market would be better than taking individual taxis!

98% City Tour & 10% Anthony Bourdain - This tour was ok. I think it would have been nice to hear more about Anthony Bourdain and his thoughts regarding the food in Colombia what brought him to Colombia. The only thing we were told.....after we asked..is that, "Anthony Bourdain ate here and he ate many things". I believe the cost was slightly elevated for what we received. I also would discourage vegetarians from this tour. We received rice, a small portion of plantains, and a salad w/a coke. Not expected considering it's in my notes to the tour operator that one of our members was a vegetarian and I was told that I would receive some form a protein.

Unprofessional liars - Tour guide didn’t show up - didn’t answer text messages - sent a voice message that apparently VIATOR is incapable of listening to apologies for not getting in touch with us - someone else from company sent text saying weren’t responding to his messages - in other words they have been doing this long enough to know how to lie … I requested refund that they declined and VIATOR went along with it - I complained so they are now “investigating” - beware is all I can say - these people lie and VIATOR won’t protect you … I can understand mix ups and if they had come clean, given a refund even though I wasted a day returning to Cartagena early in the morning for this tour I probably wouldn’t have been disgusted
