Excellent plan to visit the islands in a day in Cartagena - The attention of all the staff is very good, the places visited during the tour are very beautiful and what we liked the most was the snorkeling.

Great Tour with lots of stops - The guides were great and we had fun. I suggest that they also communicate in advance about what you should wear and what you should bring with you. Also, there’s a long gap in activities after the lunch break and the phosphorus display. I was wondering unaware about this. The stop with the tables in the water was fun and entertaining, but all of the vendors was so intense.

Book book book with Luis Alejandro! - Our tour guide Luis Alejandro was AMAZING! On top of him being hands on with everyone he was extremely knowledgeable about the locations and past and present events. He was a huge help with my 2 year old daughter also. We can’t wait to be back and I would recommend Luis to all future guest.

Best way to see alot in a day. - Melanie was such a great guide. This was a very cool experience. Although I felt hush on certain things. CAUTION!! You have to pay attention to the guide. They say important information so stop talking and pay attention. There was a few people on the same trip left barefoot because of this. Bring your own towel and swing gear and water shoes and cash. You can take a card but they will have a up to 15% surcharge to use it . If you want to make this trip better for yourself. Almost ever island stop has drinks for sale and food. Some have extra activities for you to purchase as well like jetskis and banana pull boats. Overall I'll do it again next time I'm here!!

Eyez open wide wide experience - Wow! Wow!! What an experience/ experiment. Your guide Carlos was good. Meeting place at a little restaurant filled with Hagglers only wanting to sell you something, courteous but have to stand firm on your No thanks. Trip to boat was interesting passed through the market. Boat ride was cool until it started raining sorry storming. I thought Beryl(storm) was upon us. But God brought us through. We rested till the hard rain passed before we really got to see what the 5 island tour was all about. All the islands we visited was someplace you wouldn't want to leave once you landed for the 30-45 min. Food was great. All in all great trip. If it rains wait until the sun come out, the seas don't play. Love it would do it again on a sunny day though.

Negotiate a lower price or don’t bother - Petro was a lovely friendly host and we had fun. But gosh this took a massive chunk out of our budget and honestly wasn’t worth it. Open bar on the boat is actually just water and beer. We were rushed at both snorkelling sites and couldn’t see anything as way too many people and boats making the water unclear plus no mouth piece given just goggles. The islands themselves are mediocre and you are stuck paying insane prices for drinks. The lunch included was nice. If you wait for the luminous plankton you will have to buy an expensive basic dinner or go hungry whilst you wait. In total with the ticket price and add ons I spent over £80 which is insane to spend one day in Columbia. Which I read the reviews beforehand and chose otherwise. It is still a fun day out if money is no issue for you.

Poor quality - This trip was average. It wasn't totally awful but I found the quality of everything very poor. I had low expectations after reading some other reviews but gave it a go anyway. It was definitely the worst snorkelling / island trip I have done, and I have done many (including some other developing countries) - Mexico, Costa Rica, Thailand, Indonesia, Vanuatu, Australia. For the "snorkelling" you only get given a mask with no snorkel!!! Apparently this is due to COVID.... None of the companies have them, we tried to hire them from the mainland but this wasn't possible (we did suspect this before we left, I was still hoping the info was outdated and we would get one). The snorkelling sites were mediocore. We saw some small fish but nothing great. The plane is very hard to see as it's quite deep and the water gets murky with so many boats in the area. If you want a good snorkelling trip this is definitely not it. I spent ages doing research trying to find a guaranteed good quality trip, the reviews were very polarised. All of the boats in Cartagena seem to do the same thing.... "5 island tour." we tried to find one without the party island but were told it wasn't possible. The Cholon "party" island was awful, definitely the worst part of the trip!!! Its a small cove filled with tables in murky water. Heaps of boats go there - its jam packed with people, boats, jet skis and locals trying to sell you everything under the sun. I don't usually mind this, but it was next level and very intrusive. It stinks like fish and petrol. Drinks are super expensive. The whole place is set up to make money from tourists. I did not find it enjoyable at all. Oh and there were large mountains of rubbish on the island! So sad 😢 Our guide wasn't overly helpful or friendly either.... We started 40min late, he didn't even introduce himself, he just counted us by pointing. He did the bare minimum necessary. No friendliness, no passion or positivity. Our boat was comfortable, and we were grateful to be given plantain chips as an alternative to seafood. These are the only two positive things I can think of! The companies who run these tours really should get full snorkel sets. Its not snorkelling without a snorkel! Covid is no longer an excuse. They can be washed! I've done atleast three snorkelling trips since the pandemic. If you have only a little island / snorkelling experience, you might find it enjoyable. If you have lots of travel / snorkelling experience and have been to Mexico (Cozumel, Isla Mujeres), Costa Rica, Thailand, Indonesia or the pacific islands I would not waste your time with the tour! I hope this is helpful.

NOT as advertised AT ALL - The waiting time was over an hour before we finally left. Despite having different colored bands for the different paid prices and “experiences” they lumped us all into the same boats to do same boating trips and we should not have paid more than others when we were missing out on sunset and plankton as advertised. No fruit tasting and missing snorkel gear. We did not have the fruit tasting. We did not have snorkel gear as advertised, and if I had known it was mask only I would have brought my own snorkel gear which I had! “Snorkel gear” includes the snorkel breathing tube! Not just goggles!!!! We did not stop at islands as advertised. ****We did not do the 3 hour at a beach to wait until sunset and enjoy plankton activity. When asked they said yes we are doing everything and we did not. Why did I pay $90 per ticket for my partner and myself to choose this specific itinerary?!?! And this site refused to refund or give enough partial credit back for skipping a majority of the itinerary after doing their “investigation” saying we did what was advertised! We were back at the dock WELL BEFORE SUNSET!!! And left late for our not as advertised tour!! Plus the guide was drinking on the boat

What to expect is a lie. Paid more for the same as every other tour - After waiting almost an hour after the start time, and a million “roll calls” we finally climbed on the bus to the boat. **The “snorkel gear” is a mask only. I should have brought my own snorkel gear (MASK AND BREATHING TUBE. HELLO. SNORKEL) that I left behind after being told it would be provided. **There is no “fruit tasting” and I’m pretty sure we didn’t stop at all of the “islands” as advertised as my pictures placed me at “island stops” that were on the peninsula which I could get to by bus or Uber. *** there is NO 3 hours on “pretty beach” waiting for sunset and plankton activity. The last stop we were on a beach with boats coming in and out, jet skis circling around us trying to hustle and strong waves, current with rocks. *** ps some people will find Cholon party beach the highlight- if you like standing in murky water by a floating table for 1.5 hrs - spending 3X more than you’d ever spend at premium clubs in the most expensive cities in the world, and 100’s of people peeing in the water while you watch servers splash the same water to cool the oysters they are trying to sell you. A girl was angry on the boat because they charged her $25—100,000 pesos to use the bathroom. Not as advertised and spent more money on trip advisor than same tour advertised on GetYourGuide.com. Also all these trips are the same. Very little difference and apparently they lump you in with others that paid for a different trip as well
