She wrote a book on this place - Monica is a wonderful tour guide. We were a small group (just how I like it) and she showed each of us her attention. She literally wrote the book on Carmel by the Sea. Super knowledgeable and able to adapt the tour to the interests of the group. I asked about the plants and trees- turns out she’s also a master gardener. History, architecture, amusing insight. Pleased to share that I have the book she wrote, to always remember this lovely place. Be warned that this city is hilly but super charming.

Loved it - Monica was a treasure-trove of history and lore, and she is a delightful personality. We saw so many hidden alcoves of Carmel we would never have otherwise seen. Also went with her on a tour of Point Lobos, which was spectacular. You will be touring with someone who has literally written the book on Carmel.
