Wonderful way to see Western Wales - Gareth's tour is a wonderful and efficient way to see western Wales, especially for those without their own transportation. Throughout the journey, Gareth shared his tremendous knowledge of Welsh folklore and tradition and answered any questions from us about the Welsh. [He uses a microphone so everyone in the van can clearly hear]. He is also a careful driver which I appreciated as it was raining off and on that day. We started with Dylan Thomas's village and the estuary with the Norman castle and Thomas' statue for a short stop. [As it was pouring that day, Gareth changed the sequence of the stops to fit the weather- much appreciated.] Pembroke castle was next and thankfully while on the castle tour, it stopped raining. Gareth made sure that we were there for the public tour that comes with entrance to the castle. This was very nice as I learned so much about the castle and its inhabitants from this guide. The last stop was Tenby which is a delightful town within a wall; there were shops to investigate and many places for lunch. I highly recommend Gareth's The Wandering Bard's Mythical West Wales Tour.

Excellent guided driving tour to southwest Wales - Gareth is an excellent guide to southern Wales. He volunteered to pick us up right outside of our hotel and shared his knowledge and enthusiasm for the history, culture, and language of his beautiful country. He gave us a good introduction to each of the sites before dropping us off to explore on our own.

Great trip, a must if you want to explore Wales beyond Cardiff - I booked this tour via GetYourGuide and was delighted. Gareth contacted me ahead of time to confirm pick up location. The groups was small (which I prefer). He was very friendly and informative. This tour is a must if want to explore Wales beyond Cardiff!!

Nice daytour out in the countryside - Gareth was informative and provided much history of the castles. It would be good to have more time to enjoy Tensby since we had to wait till 12pm for restaurants to open for lunch and have more time to sit and enjoy nice lunch with sufficient time to shop around and take photos.

Tour for Those Without a Car - Garath provided a ton of info while driving in the van over 2 hours to first stop, however please note that this is not a guided tour of any site. We were dropped off at 3 locations to explore on our own: Pembroke Castle, the seashore town of Tenby, and Laugharne Castle. Garath went out of his way to help the 8 tour members including picking me up at a location 20 minutes from town.

Tenby is worth the tour! - Unfortunately, Wales did not grant us with the best weather which took away from the experience (out of everyone's control) but we still enjoyed this tour. We skipped Pembroke castle and got some coffee at our first stop. Tenby was a lovely little touristy town and the colorful houses lining the beach are gorgeous! With the weather, we also skipped walking the Dylan Thomas sanctuary due to the weather and had a drink at the only pub that was open that day. Overall, I think more time should be given to walk around Tenby as I could have continued on there for a while and, regardless of the weather, don't think I needed as much time at the first or last stop. Gareth was very nice and gave great info on Welch history and would recommend touring with him!
