Go, it's excellent - Best foodie tour we've been on. Interesting but not too many facts; food tastes were delicious (mmm, Welsh cakes); and Sian was fun to chat with. This review is a bit late - it's six weeks since we went on it - but am sure it's still excellent. If you're new to Cardiff, the tour also gives you a feel for the layout of the central city.

Tour ‘opened up’ Cardiff for me. - Booking online from the US, I figured that visiting a variety of food spots with “Loving Welsh Food” would be a super way to get oriented to Cardiff on my first day there. I had only a dim idea about the layout of the city or its famous Arcades, those beautiful old wide leaded-glass-domed passageways between buildings – full of shops, cafes and drinks places spilling out into the corridor – and I might not have even gone into one by myself. What varied treasure our guide Sian showed us in there. The samples on the tour were mostly new and delightful tastes, and Sian made the tour interesting and relaxed; she was just a lovely guide, very personable, good company. Wouldn’t have missed it! On my return to Cardiff a week later from a geology tour around Snowdon, I went to the “Loving Welsh Food” evening show at The Welsh House, and loved the soup, poetry and songs with well-known Welsh actor Ieuan Rhys. All well worth it!

Brilliant afternoon! - My sister and I went on this tour and we had a wonderful afternoon. There was plenty of great food and we went back to a couple of the places the next day as we liked them so much. Our tour guide Ieuan moved us around the city without rushing us and not only taught us about Cardiff, but led the conversation so that as a group we had a good time together. I would definitely recommend it as a good, tasty afternoon activity and a great way to see parts of the city you wouldn't necessarily see.

Tasty and Wonderful! - Sian was a wonderful guide and made our culinary walk through Cardiff a delight. She was very knowledgeable on local history and provided a lot of insight into the interesting history of the region. We had a great sampling of sweet and savory tastings typical of what’s available to locals in Cardiff. We now know the best place in Cardiff to have a Welsh cake. (Hint - they’re not on TicTok). Our time with Sian was wonderful and she gave us tips on local restaurants that turned out to be real gems. Get to know Wales and book a tour with Loving Welsh Food!

Great afternoon with Sian -arcade tour - Sat at the end of the tour now, in The Welsh House, discussing how amazing the afternoon was with Sian. Each stop was so much fun, informative and tasty. We are already planning ok coming back to explore the arcades again, and of course the bars and restaurants. Sian was really friendly and really showed us the best of Cardiff. Great portions as well at each stop. Well worth the money and would 100% recommend !!! Thank you Sian !!!

Fantastic way to explore the city though food and drink - Myself and my friends decided to book onto the arcade food tour with Sian instead of booking a restaurant for our Xmas get together. I’m from Cardiff so I didn’t think there’d be many places that I hadn’t been to before but I was so plenty surprised on the amazing restaurants Sian introduced us too. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the arcade and Cardiff, it was a really insightful, even to a local. The food and drink selection was amazing, I was completely fully by the end of the tour. The atmosphere of the group was fantastic, I’d highly recommend this tour. You get a lot of food and drink for your money and in really pleasurable experience.

Fun and deliciously tasty way to spend a few hours in Cardiff - I really enjoyed this tour which mixes delicious food with a bit of Cardiff history, especially the splendid and wonderfully maintained Edwardian Arcades. Travelling on my own, I was delighted to meet the fellow tourers who all seemed equally happy to sample a wide variety of culinary delights from some small independent businesses. The tour has been intelligently designed with a perfect mix of sweet and savoury, walking, sitting and drinking! Our guide Sian, was knowledgeable about both all the food and her home town, and was great at including everybody in a helpful and friendly way. Would happily return for this trip tomorrow!
