Amazing opportunity to step back in time - Excellent day of discovery. Well worth the effort and time to get there (and back). We loved every second of the site visit. So much discover and a knowledgeable guide and driver makes the experience totally worthwhile.

Long but great day visiting wonderful Caral - I had a great time on this tour: loved the Caral site and beautiful valley, plus a reasonably-priced delicious lunch: thanks to Jose as a great guide. Note it's a long day with lots of driving but there's no way around this if doing as a day trip from Lima and the van was comfortable and well driven. Easy to book and communications from company good.

Special experience brimming with historical awe - Great experience. No one really talks about it much - a bit of a hidden gem of Peru. Very worthwhile. A bit of a bus ride to get there and back but so special to see the second oldest identified civilisation and their ruins. The tour guide, Jose, was unbelievable - his knowledge was extensive and he answered our many questions with great insights. If you are into history or archeology, this is a highly recommended tour.

Very good experience in every possible way. - Excelent experience. It is amazing to learn about a civilization 5000 years old in this part of the world. The site is very impressing, having good info and signaling. The Caral guide was very knowledgeble and the tour guide, Claudia was very solid too.
The van was comfortable and the restaurante in Barranco, when goingb back to Lima, was excelent.

Where it all began! - The tour to Caral is a must. The guide Claudia showed great knowledge, proactivity and friendliness. The driver Antonio showed safety and responsibility in the chaotic traffic of Lima and surrounding areas. The tour was fantastic, allowing us to have a good view of the first human civilization in the Americas. On the way back, we had lunch at an excellent restaurant in Barranca and visited the Christ statue with a beautiful view of the beaches. I recommend it.

If you have a modicum of interest in history, this is a must do! - I’ll preface this review with a huge commendation of Peruna Tours. Can’t recommend this company enough! Quick communication and the tour was well organized from a logistical perspective. This company was the cheapest Caral tour I found in my research so it wins on value for sure. I’m not sure if it’s like this for all tours but we had a small group which allowed the experience to feel more intimate.
This doesn’t even acknowledge their predominant strength is - the amazing staff members! Our tour was commandeered by our amazing guide Claudia and driver Antonio. Claudia demonstrated not only the utmost professionalism, but was remarkably personable! A facet that stood out was her genuine care for the group. Whether it was accommodating individual needs, answering endless questions with patience, or offering thoughtful recommendations, she went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and engaged. Her English was also great, given the amount of technical information provided by the site expert! Moreover, Antonio was bar none the best driver I had during my entire stay in Peru, which most definitely helped to provide reassurance.
Concerning Caral itself: what a treat for those infatuated with antediluvian civilizations! It’s a slightly rigorous journey to get there requiring riding a Tuk Tuk over unpaved roads, but the result was ultimately quite rewarding. Much of the site is still being excavated so there is still a considerable amount to learn about this incredibly old civilization.
Would highly recommend anyone considering this tour to take it!

Oldest American continent civilization. - The van picked me up on time, and Antonio, the driver, drove very carefully and at good speed.
Jose and Claudia, the tour guides, were very attentive and helped keep the group on schedule.
Roxana, the Caral Ruins tour guide, was very knowledgeable, answering all the questions I had; plus, she imparted the information in a lively manner, which prevented the experience from being boring and exhausting, considering that we were exposed to the sun.
The choice of "Restaurante Tato" was prime, where I enjoyed a good size dish of Tacu Tato, and a drink made with dark rum called "El Secreto de Tato" - not found on the menu.
Unfortunately, in Ventanilla, Callao, we hit a big traffic jam. Our return time could have been shortened by almost an hour, had it not been for the disorganization on how the big trucks drove going into the maritime port. It would help to have a Trucks-only driving lane. However, I used that time to catch up on some sleep.
Overall, the trip was well-worth the value and during the ride, I exchanged a pleasant conversation with my fellow passengers.
