False Bay is a mere 30min drive from Cape Town international airport and a shark hotspot. This fun and educational trip is for the whole family, with no age restrictions and no experience needed. We generally target three species of shark on these excursions namely Great white sharks, Bronze whaler sharks, and the prehistoric Sevengill shark. These sharks are awesome! Nothing compares to seeing a shark in real life for the first time and all preconceived ideas are crushed with the first viewing.

Fantástico. - Amazing landscape, great service with views of dolphins, sharks and seals. Dive into the cage allows you to see the sharks very closely. I recommend.

Great diving experience in small groups - Fabulous! This is what you can see with the pros of Shark Explorers in only two diving days (if you are lucky and a somewhat advanced diver). Great team and hospitality. Book early enough to get a place at their boat trips. Always take a proper torch with you to see the beautiful colours of the reefs and sea floor. We will be back soon

Perfect Day - After watching Shark Week religiously for 24 years we went for the real thing and it was worth the wait. Amazing experience. What a great day!!! Lindy in the office was a lovely soul and her son was fantastic on the boat. The crew made the trip, thank you to the young lady who held my sunglasses, and attracted the sharks with her superior chumming, and shark whispering skills, and to our vocal leader, I still hear in my head, "Cage....cage.... ready, left, left, DOWWN DOWWN !!! Perfect day, perfect crew, great company, wonderful memories, thank you!

My favorite experience in Cape Town! - I cannot say enough good things about the entire team at Shark Explorers. From booking to the end of our morning on the water, all the staff were welcoming, energetic, and adaptable. Definitely a must-do if you're looking for a little adventure. Even if you don't want to view the sharks from the cage, viewing from the boat was just as cool and fun---it was awesome to see two different perspectives. The whole time, I felt completely safe in the care of the crew. I would not trust anyone else as much as I trust these guys! Lots of Copper Sharks (15-20) up to 3 meters and seal friends as well (the crew knows them by name...Dennis and Julius!)

An excellent day out - We did the shark cage diving from Simon's Town and it was a fantastic experience. Sad not to see Great White sharks, but that is the fault of the Orcas not the operator! This was one of the many things we learned about while we waited for other guests. The hosts were super knowledgeable and a pleasure to chat with. We saw loads of Bronze Whalers (and a very cheeky seal!) right up close, the crew were excellent at drawing the sharks right up to the cage. I love a boat ride so the ~30min trip from the harbor to the site was an added bonus, nice to see our bay and beaches from "the other side". If you suffer from motion sickness, it'd be wise to take precautions in advance so that you are feeling 100% at dive time. Take an underwater camera if you have one. All-in-all I can strongly recommend the experience and Shark Explorers as an operator specifically.

Best experience ever! - The Shark Explorer team is amazing. Thank you guys so much for the unforgettable experience. We where lucky to see a lot of sharks, but the amazing team made our day. Super friendly staf. We felt super welcome, and we definitly will go back for the scuba trips they offer. See you soon!

Super activity in Cape town - Everything was really nice, the crew was really friendly, gave us good safety tips and instructions. We saw around 25-30 sharks!
They had snacks and drinks too, we had some great footage too! 10/10

So close to sharks. Great. - So many sharks up close. We saw about 30 right in front of the cage. It was truly amazing. I loved it. Worth it for sure. The staff are very helpful and look after you very well.
