• Robben Island Museum - Arrive punctually at the Robben Island Silo district V&A waterfront with a copy of your passport or ID for verification before boarding the ferry. Please note, this is a ticket-only service and does not include hotel transfers. Once on board the shared ferry with fellow passengers, you will embark on a 30 to 45-minute journey across the open sea to the Robben Island Museum. Upon arrival at the Robben Island Jetty, you will disembark and join a shared bus tour led by a former political prisoner. The guide will offer live commentary on Robben Island’s history, highlighting the residences of former political prisoners and other significant landmarks. The tour will conclude with a visit to the prison cell where former President Nelson Mandela was incarcerated, providing an opportunity to walk in his historical footsteps on the long walk to freedom.
