An Unforgettable Experience — Possibly the Best Township Tour - The visit was extremely insightful. We learned a great deal about the history of the townships from both the driver (Thobella) and the local guide. Thanks to them, we were able to observe the diverse housing conditions within the townships—ranging from informal settlements and barracks to “Beverly Hills”-like areas—which allowed us to form a much more nuanced understanding of their social and economic diversity. Most residents were friendly there.

Authentic and Eye-Opening Township Tour – A Must in Cape Town! - An absolute must when visiting Cape Town! This tour offers a powerful and eye-opening cultural experience—one that many tourists often miss. We (including my 12 year old son) had the chance to learn about daily life in a township while feeling completely safe throughout. Our guide was incredibly energetic, knowledgeable, and engaging, sparking meaningful conversations about history, politics, and social issues. Don’t miss this tour—it’s one of the most authentic and enriching experiences you can have in Cape Town.

Langa . - An eye opening trip . Quite emotional too . All the poor folks in the township of Langa were so happy though . A must do !

Interesting & authentic. And if a lot of the money for the tour really goes to township projects - 10+ - Authentic life in the township of Cape Town. Whoever books this tour knows that he too is privileged in some respects - very interesting.

Just Do It! - Definitely one of my favourite days in Cape Town. Our driver & guide, Tobiah is a local of the township & knows everyone. He’s like a local celebrity! Learnt a lot on this trip and all the locals were happy, friendly and welcoming. Not once did I feel unsafe throughout the tour. If you’ve any apprehensions about your safety- you need not have them. Would happily do this tour again!

Unforgettable experience with valuable insights - A very impressive tour with two very good guides who are themselves residents of a township. The tour led through District Six to Langa, the oldest township. There was a guided tour with historical background on the formation of the townships and a tour of Langa. We have experienced a great deal of warmth - despite the depressing misery for Europeans. But there are also many signs of hope. In addition, we have learned a lot about the structures and life in the townships and can now assess much better what lies behind the corrugated iron huts you see from the highway. Wanda and his colleague have been extremely committed in conveying this. Thank you very much for that.

Great Capeflat experience!! - This trip was a fantastic experience and turned out to be much better than expected. We felt safe the entire time and both of the expert guides, Tchobella (apology if misspelled!) and Wanda, were so passionate and knowledgeable about the “real side” of the history and current times of the townships! The whole trip lasted 4hrs and included two drive throughs of the bigger townships and then a walking tour through langa, which was very insightful as we were welcomed warmly by the locals. Thanks a lot and we would totally recommend this trip.

Mandatory tour if you want to really get to know Cape Town!! - One of the best tours I took during my stay in Cape Town! Getting to know more about the culture and true history of the city was, without a doubt, an enriching experience. Tourism ends up being concentrated in regions like Camps Bay, Sea Point... but getting to know some Townships is just as important. On top of everything, the guides were extremely attentive, friendly and made the tour much more incredible. Lots of learning and knowledge about Langa acquired from local guides.

not recommended - The information by the guide were interesting but quite superficial. If you do this tour, don't go alone. The guide was hitting on me which is beyond unprofessional. I felt very uncomfortable.
